Arrival at San Clemente

As I stepped off the bus in San Clemente, the crisp mountain air filled my lungs, invigorating my senses. The small town, nestled at the foot of the Andes, was a charming blend of rustic charm and vibrant culture. I was here to embark on a randonnée adventure at Laguna del Maule, a place renowned for its geological wonders and breathtaking landscapes.

Our guide, Bárbara Menenes, welcomed us with a warm smile at her lodge. Her passion for the region was infectious, and as she shared stories of the trails we would explore, I felt a growing excitement. The anticipation of retracing the steps of the legendary German mountaineer Albrecht Maass added a historical depth to our journey.
