Throughout the lesson, your instructors will make sure you’re safe and having fun. No experience necessary, all equipment provided.

Always aspired to master surfing? Excellent ambition! The tranquil surrounds of La Jolla Shores presents an ideal place to start! Our skilled teachers are enthusiastic about passing their love for surfing to novice and intermediate surfers - no prior skills required, we provide all the gear.
Our teachers honor each learner’s decision concerning their involvement in the tutorial and their ease within the water. You’re sure to enjoy acquiring surfing skills in a secure environment!

All participants must check-in for the activity at our store which is located at 2261 Avenida De La Playa, La Jolla, CA, 92037. Once you arrive at our store, our staff will get you ready, introduce you to your surf instructor and teach you the fundamentals of surfing.
Arrive 30 minutes early.
Cancellation Policy
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

Amazing Experience Even With No Experience! - Surfing was something I have always wanted to do my whole life, and Everyday California made my experience so wonderful. I was so nervous not having any experience and having some lung problems, but the instructors are so kind and helpful. Everyone was amazing, especially our instructor Trevor. I cannot wait to come back again one day!!

Surfing lessons - Went on a surfing lesson with James which was incredible! Definitely a must do for anyone in the area or visiting CA. Will definitely be coming back in the future

Amazing surf lessons - My sister and I went for a group surf lesson and it was an amazing experience. Our instructor John was very helpful and encouraging, he gave us and the other girl in our class lots of guidance and helped us all to learn from the experience and most importantly, to have fun while doing it!!

After one session you’ll feel like a pro! - Chris and Trevor were amazing instructors! High energy and very patient. Did everything they could to get us catching and riding waves. My spouse and I had a blast. I highly recommend this surf tour but rent the wetsuit and booties.

Best Surf Class In San Diego - I recently took a surf lesson with Everyday California and had an absolute blast! The whole experience, from booking to catching waves, was fantastic.
My instructor, Chris H., deserves a huge shoutout. He was incredibly helpful throughout the entire lesson. It was tough, but Chris's patience kept me going! His clear instructions and positive attitude encouraged me to keep trying (after every fall,lol).
If you're looking to learn to surf in San Diego, I can't recommend Everyday California enough!

Fun, novel, refreshing - Surf instructor Jesse was amazing and personable, very knowledgeable overall made the experience a 10/10, we learned to do yoga poses on the board which was something I’ve never seen anyone else incorporate into surf lessons. I had a very fun time, thank you

Best place to learn how to surf! - Recommend Robbie to teach you how to surf! I had no experience and I had a blast!! He made it easy to learn and so fun! I definitely will be back!

Excellent Experience - We went to San Diego to get the full beach experience and this was amazing! Devan was super helpful and easy to talk to and Brandon at the shop was more than accommodating. We’ll definitely be back!
