Rosarito Like a Local - Post Covid - When my fiance and I decided to book this day trip for Sept 2020, we were a little skeptical because reviews had not been posted on this tour, post Covid. When we arrived to Mexico, we walked across the border and went through customs because, due to Covid restrictions, our tour guide was not able to meet us on the US side. As soon as we exited customs in Mexico, our guide Humberto was waiting for us in his awesome, well air conditioned, full of hand sanitizer and water vehicle. It was so simple!! Humberto is a fantastic tour guide and we felt so safe during every minute of our tour. He spoke fantastic English with our broken Spanish, gave us a history car tour of Tijuana and Rosarito, and frequently checked on us if we needed water, hand sanitizer, food, or anything and everything hospitable. The horse ride was so scenic, and I was totally not expecting to be riding horses on the beach! Also, the lobsters... don't think you'll just get one with this tour, we had 5+ lobsters to eat! We were locals that day, for sure! Humberto will be a lifelong friend and local to visit when we decide to day trip like a local in the future. For all you travelers out there, traveling post Covid, please be kind to the locals in the country you are visiting and tip at establishments. It's the right thing to do!
