The best wind for sailing, and sunshine is during our mid day sails. During our sail we will explore the harbor, and sight see areas such as the downtown skyline, Coronado Bay Bridge, the Embarcadero, and Midway aircraft carrier. We always see sea lions, seabirds, and often dolphins. Since we only take small groups, you’ll feel like you’re just out sailing with friends. Since we truly love to sail, we turn off the motor as soon as possible so you can just experience the quiet of the wind in the sails. Our catamarans are very wide and spacious, and they are comfortable for all ages of guests. There are several seating areas on the boats to find your perfect spot. Of course there are convenient bathroom facilities aboard. If you would like to take the wheel, and feel the power in the sails, you are welcome. We may not be the cheapest option, but my Captains are “World Class”, and are paid well. You’ll get a great vibe on the boat right away, and make some great memories. Catamarans really are more fun to sail with the special bow nets designed for sunbathing, and lounging around watching sea life, and water rush by. The swift and stable ocean design ensures a comfortable, and exhilarating ride without the rolling and leaning that often causes seasickness on other boats. When you are welcomed aboard, you’ll feel comfortable right away because we really do like people, and with such small groups, you’ve escaped the crowds.

Highly recommend - An outstanding experience. Captain Ryan was at the helm and his 30 years of sailing experience really showed. He's awesome, friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The boats are unique in this type of tour and in perfect condition. Highly recommend this experience.

Birthday celebration with 10 friends - There were 10 of us sailing with Captain Ryan. We had an amazing time celebrating my birthday. The boat was very comfortable and the sailing was smooth. Lots of room to move around and plenty of seating for everyone. There is even a bathroom on board. The views of San Diego were beautiful and the sea lions were entertaining too. Ryan gave a safety talk before we left the dock and he was very helpful and a great host. Ryan takes great care of this boat and it was very clean and safe. We were out in December on a brisk day but it was very protected and warm in the cockpit . Some of us did go sit out front and enjoyed the view and the breeze. Ryan brought us blankets in case we got chilly. This is a great adventure for all ages, even us more mature adults. I highly recommend sailing with Fun Cat to experience a fun day on San Diego Bay.

A Perfect December Sail - A beautiful day celebrating a friend's birthday with 9 of her besties! Captain Ryan made the day flawless for all of us. We all arrived with the expectation that it was going to be cold and blustery on the water. Under sail everything was smooth and warm. Some us even ventured out to sit on the front trampoline.Mimosas and yummy food/desserts rounded out the festive experience. San Diego is so pretty from the Bay reminding all of us why we live here.

Cannot recommend enough for a fun and relaxing day on the bay! - We have gone out with Captain Rod and Captain Ryan now several times and always have the best time. It's a great way to see the bay and I always learn something I didn't know despite living here for 6 years. The catamaran itself is very comfortable and has plenty of room to sit in the back or up in the front on the trampoline area. They provide beer and wine but you can also bring your own drinks as well as any snacks you want. Both captains we've had have been very accommodating and fun as well as highly skilled at what they do. Cannot recommend enough if you're looking for a fun and relaxing day on the bay!!

Best catamaran experience - We had the most amazing first time on a catamaran for my husband’s birthday. Captain Ryan had great music and really knew what he was doing! We felt safe, relaxed, excited and really just had the best experience. We got to see sea lions, boat races, a pirate ship and jets. We would highly recommend booking with them. They are reliable and communicative. We will book again in the future!!

The best sail on the Bay! - Capt Ryan and team are fantastic. Capt Kaya was amazing. My first trip with her but have been enjoying these cruises for years with friends and family. I’ve been on both boats with Capt Rod and Capt Matt as well. Every experience has been amazing, fun and a little different based on direction we go or day cruise versus sunset. There is a bathroom on board each boat as well as beverages provided. We usually bring our own food to enjoy on board but restaurants are near the marina if you want to go that route. These people are great and you will love your time on the bay. I highly recommend this trip when you are in the San Diego area.

Wonderful experience - My husband and I along with our son and his friend took an afternoon sail with Captain Ryan. My husband has been sailing his whole life and specifically chose this boat for two reasons— the ability to go faster if the wind allows (it did!) and the comfort and seating of the boat. Our captains were wonderful hosts. They offered drinks and also blankets for when it got a little chilly. We had such a beautiful day and were so glad we chose them. This is the perfect place to sail and by the way, the price is very reasonable. So much better than going on a crowded group boat. We highly recommend. We’ll be back!!

Sail the day away - My best friend and I had an amazing 2.5-hour catamaran ride with Ryan and Kaya to celebrate our birthdays. The trip was everything we needed—relaxing, fun, and filled with good vibes. Ryan and Kaya were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, which made the whole experience even better. They had beverages ready for us on the boat, and we got to play our own music, which added a personal touch. We even brought a bottle of champagne to celebrate, and they graciously kept it cool for us. It was the perfect way to enjoy the water and unwind. Highly recommend!

Sail the day away - My best friend and I celebrated our birthdays with a 2.5-hour catamaran ride with Ryan and Kaya, and it was exactly what we needed! Relaxing on the water, enjoying the breeze, and playing our favorite yacht rock music made the day perfect. Ryan and Kaya were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly accommodating. They even had beverages waiting for us on the boat and were kind enough to chill the champagne we brought. Their hospitality truly made the trip memorable. Highly recommend!
