Tour without the hassle - What a bargain. If you have a car, this is a definite must. I had not been to San Diego since the 70's, and then only for a day. This guided tour of the area was exactly what I was looking for. It took me on a complete easy-to-follow tour of the entire area accompanied by an informative narrative. You can go at your own pace, exlpore any area when you want for as long as you want. I highly recommend

For the price -unbeatable! - I can only recommend to anyone who travels with their own car! Good tour to all the sights of San Diego. At your own pace, you stop where you like (in the US the parking situation is usually easier than in other countries). The tour is easy to follow and you can also board from the road (there is the possibility to “find” the tour again). There is detailed information about the sights, from him also on the way, which you can (if you want) partly also deepen! For the price -unbeatable!

eye opener - been to SD many times over the years for business and family. Never much of a fan of the city. Had some free time and a car, so tried this recorded tour. Easy to use and follow. More importantly, the tour guided us to areas and sights we weren't aware of, that were beautiful, interesting and off the beaten path. highly recommended. (If you get a chance, hit Mitch's for great seafood on the water)

Great Local's Guide to San Diego via GPS Self-Guided Tour - My husband and I took the Local Guide to the San Diego Sights Tour two weeks ago. We both had been to San Diego before to visit relatives but we really didn't do any sightseeing as part of those previous trips. First of all this self guided GPS tour is very easy to use. It covers a lot of ground that one would probably not have figured out how to cover on one's own. The sights included are scenic, cultural and historical. We both learned so much especially regarding the historical origins of the city from the Spanish explorers to development of the military bases, etc, and how its history has shaped modern day San Diego. There are even recommendations of where to eat along the route that are the tour operators own personal favorites. I highly recommend this tour as a great, self guided option to learning about this beautiful city. Enjoy!!

Enjoyed it! Worked great! - I loved that didn't need a tour guide, so I could easily stop where I wanted along the drive - Lunched at El Indio and stopped to walk at Presidio Park and at Windansea Beach. As a local and history buff, I was surprised by all learned about San Diego.. Definitely recommend it!

Informative fun!! - Super cool GPS tech…we got to wind our way through the best of San Diego. Made several stops along our journey and had lunch in the Gaslamp. I recommend it for both SoCal natives or those visiting – fun to be entertained and learn along the way!

Great tour and good nav info. - The narrative and information about the stops was great. The app worked reasonably well and dialogue was cued appropriately at the destinations.

Not for those directionally challenged - I found this self audio tour very confusing and frustrating. I frequently got lost and then had to put in the street names into my GPS to get on track. Also the app would literally wait until you were at the turn before telling you to turn. I ended up ending the tour and heading back to my hotel.

Use Siri instead, she keeps talking. - We started out fine, but made a couple unscripted stops and we lost the audible turn by turn directions and could not get back on track. We also did not like the way the narrator’s voice stopped communicating to us for sometimes 3-5 minutes at a time. We abandoned the tour within 20 minutes because we couldn’t get back on course. Overall great idea, poor technology. Won’t do self guided tours with TA again. Wouldn’t mind a refund??

Bad. - If it worked. GPS vocal instructions worked less than half-the-time. Very difficult to download. Because the GPS did not work most of the time I would say this is dangerous.
