Group Guide Granger #1 - The views were stunning. You could walk/hike without a guide but it wouldn’t be the same or as safe. Granger, the guide is outstanding! Knows the area and history and shared it along the way. I loved the fact he picked up other hiker’s trash along the way too. A true champion of nature and it shows. Family trip with my so sons 29/31 and they said that Granger made it all worth while. Definitely for the fit/no bad knees or hip people!

Whoa baby! - Outstanding guide, amazing views, wonderful experience. The big but…there is an element of danger as the terrain is unstable and trails are narrow with steep elevation. I recommend proper footwear and water. Those who fear heights or are not physically fit may find this more challenging than expected. Our guide Granger, was patient and knowledgeable and exactly the type of guide you want on a tour like this. Highly recommend. Just be prepared as it’s not an ordinary walk in the park.

Do this tour early in your trip. Extraordinary guide, unforgettable experience and amazing views!! - Wow, what an off the beaten path experience this was! Our family of four (two teens) really enjoyed this experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable and offered support anytime it was needed. He took tons of photos and made sure we all had fun! I would suggest to do this tour early in your trip to San Diego because our guide had so many suggestions and tips on things to do in area. He is a wealth of knowledge that we found to be very valuable! We suggest wearing long pants and hiking shoes (not sneakers). We were given fingerless gloves to wear which came in very handy. This tour was a great way to see the beach, the coast, and some amazing views!! Stick around after your hike and grab a bite to eat next door at the Gliderport while watching the paragliders/hang gliders. The food was delicious and the drinks refreshing after hiking for the morning!

12/10 hike!! Included some tips and extra info in the review :) - This was an incredible adventure with absolutely phenomenal photo ops!!! Whether you’re a local or a visitor, you should absolutely book this!! :) Terrain/difficulty: I added in some photos that demonstrate the sorts of climbing you’ll do during the hike just so that you’re prepared, as those with unsteady feet, limited flexibility, or a fear of tight spaces or heights might want to pick another adventure. That being said, we had a huge age range on our hike today (including two kids) and it was great for everyone! Just make sure that you’ve got some level of hiking ability and some shoes with some good grip. I’d also recommend wearing comfortable stretchy pants, as you have to slide down the rocks a bit at one point and could benefit from having some sort of barrier between your skin and the rocks if you slip a bit :) Other info: We met up at 8:30 and were back by 10:30, and had a great mix of hiking/climbing and stopping for photos. Our guide also gave us great ideas on other things to do today/during our trip to SD.
