Fun - We were able to see dolphins. There were baby dolphins jumping with the group. The sea lions and dolphins made the trip so enjoyable !

Best dolphins sighting ever - My family and I enjoyed out tour. We got to see so many dolphins. At first they were few abs far between. Then, a whole family just came out of nowhere. It had to be over 20 dolphins jumping out of the water at once. Best sighting I’ve ever seen.

Decent Experience, no whales - Very enjoyable cruise, but do note that in September it is very unlikely you'll see whales. We managed to find one pod of dolphins toward the end, which was nice, and we really were along just for the cruise so we didn't mind. They did offer vouchers for half off another tour since we didn't see much, so that was nice. The boat is larger, with seating areas on top, in front, and in the back, as well as a row of benches along each side, so there's plenty of room to be outside. My only knock is that on our way back in they pointed out their sister company, I think it is Cruise San Diego, where the prices are half what we paid for San Diego Whale Watch. The boat looked a little smaller with less outdoor seating, but that's a big difference for the same trip.

No whales today? Not a problem for this crew! - The absence of whales was of course sad. However, we saw sea lions and dolphins. The dolphins seemed to be putting on a beautiful show for us. However, in the absence of the primary stars (the whales), the highest praise goes to the staff, who were so very polite and professional. Extra kudos go out to the young man behind the food and beverage counter (Brandon?). He was so genuinely courteous and helpful. Also, the young lady who served as our naturalist was both knowledgeable and plain spoken that we not only enjoyed but also learned. The bathrooms were clean. The food was ok. The entire staff were very pleasant. All-in-all, it was a very enjoyable experience!

Whale watching cruise review - Overall experience was good.Stuff was super nice and friendly. They also have snacks and drinks available for purchase . However keep in mind seeing whales is not a guaranteed experience. We didn’t see any , and the group before us didn’t get lucky as well :( Bring warm clothes, spf and sun glasses.
