Exceptional - Everybody was friendly. I talked to a lot of people about the military and their experiences. I was there from 10 to 4 and the trip was exceptional.

Great experience for my grandkids. - Lots of walking but totally enjoyed it. There's so much history. The boys liked the scavenger hunt and earned their wings!

Lots to see at all levels of the ship - There was so much to see here - more than I expected. The movie on the battle of midway was interesting and well done - could easily miss that walking in! The below deck area is impressive to understand more about life on the ship and what it takes to operate it. We spent more time than I expected here - in a good way!

The Volunteers bring the Midway to life - Extraordinary experience on such an important part of world history. Whilst so important to Americans, as Australians we really appreciated and understood the Midway and its crew, and now the many volunteers

Fond Memories - I served aboard the Midway in 82-83. The staff has the ship in excellent condition and I was proud to walk her decks once again.

Not tall person friendly - If you are tall then this is not the attraction for you. I am 6'5 and hit my head several times. You have to duck down very low in a lot of areas on the ship. I would say if you are 6'1 and over then you will have difficulty.

A Great Historic Experience But Beware Buying Tickets - The Midway aircraft carrier/museum is great. Impressive past & present aircraft, displays, videos and small areas where Midway veterans discuss their experiences. And just seeing this massive ship from gun turrets & take off strip to dining & living areas is great. But do not make the mistake we did which was to buy our tickets at the so-called "Visitor's Booth" on the Embarcadero walkway adjacent to the ship. This is not an official facility but a small building which claims to be public and offer tour discounts. In reality, it is a private rip-off facility run by the Old Town Trolly Company which charges more than the official ticket price at the Midway booth on the side if the visitor's entrance to the ship. In addition, the booth does not accept the many discount coupons available to tourists which are accepted at the Midway booth, including the annual two-for-one February specials.
