Great Tour - Marco was a great driver and guide. The countryside was beautiful, and the wines were good. The wineries were stunning.

One day Mexican Baja wine tour - This trip was so much fun and surpassed all my expectations! The vineyards were beautiful, food was amazing and the best of all was our tour guide Marco. Marco was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He knew all the right places to take us. The border closing was a breeze with Marco. Marco made us feel like he was a close friend and I can’t even describe how happy I was with this tour. Felt very VIP with Marco.

Great tour and amazing scenery. We never knew that Mexico had so many wineries. - This was a perfect day trip. After all the concerns about caravans and warnings we had a perfect day with this tour. There were six of us and the driver and it was a relaxing and extremely organized tour. Hats off to these people and what they do. Don't miss it if you get the chance to go.

Fun times! - It was a day to remember. Super fun. We did 3 wineries. 2 were full tours and one was a tasting plus a sit down pairing dinner. I recommend fully!

Overall great tour - Everything about this tour was perfect. The only reason I gave this tour 4 dots instead of 5 dots is that I think instead of crossing back into the U.S. via Otay Mesa, it should have driven the full length of Mexican Federal Highway 3 from Ensenada to Tecate (via the wineries we stopped at) and crossed back into the U.S. at Tecate instead of Otay Mesa. That way the tour could have officially driven the full length of La Ruta del Vino.

WORST TOUR and customer service - We booked a private wine tour to Valle de Guadalupe for two. Tour was booked through "San Diego Wine Tours" which apparently is a part of "Five Start Tours" Promised in the tour was "Wine Expert" on hand at all time, we did have a guide on hand but he did not speak much English and we were unbale to communicate or get answers to any of our questions. We had been instructed to be 15 minutes early at pick up location only to find that our drive would be 30 minutes late. Our two first stops were not wineries but markets and food courts. We only had 7 wine tastings on the trip, which is nowhere close to the 18 promised in the advertisement. We also only visited 2 wineries and not 3 as promised in the advertisement. Dinner was supposed to be gourmet family style lunch only to arrive at restaurant to find out they had no idea we were coming we were handed a menu and allotted a credit of 1,300 pesos, approx.. $69.00 for lunch. Another 45 minutes were wasted at restaurant trying to get them to understand were on a tour and had expected a lunch to be prepared for us. We were asked many times on the tour about allergies both when we booked the tour and when we got in the van. No wine were served with lunch, we had to purchase our own. In all we paid almost $500.00 for two people to have a $70.00 and 7 tastings of wine. After we arrived back in the US, I contacted to company and they offered us a 20% refund. I told them that was totally unacceptable as they did not provide any of the things offered in their advertisement. It was a 10 hour tour and we spent at least 4 hours of this time delayed by driver or at market, food court that was never even on the tour description. We came to taste Mexican wines. not shop at markets. After many emails back and forth the last I have heard was that they will refund 25% of the trip. I have not seen this refund yet. In short DO NOT EVER book a trip with "Fiver Star Tours" or "San Diego Wine Tours"
