San Francisco to Yosemite

Yosemite National Park - After about 3-4 hours, you’ll reach the entrance of Yosemite National Park. Take in the scenic mountain views as your guide shares the history and geology of this unique place.
Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias - Walk down a picturesque path to the magical Tuolumne Grove, home to dozens of Giant Sequoia trees. Don’t be deceived by the moderate downhill walk; bring water to stay hydrated as you’ll have a bit of a climb back to the mini-coach. Enjoy your lunch among the towering trees.
Yosemite Valley - Next, we’ll leave the Sequoia Grove in the mini-coach for a narrated tour through Yosemite’s glaciated valley. We’ll make several stops to capture photos of famous waterfalls and rock formations while your guide provides historical insights about the park.
Yosemite Village - Spend a couple of hours exploring on your own! We’ll stop near the base of Yosemite Falls. You have various options, including a leisurely walk through the Ansel Adams Gallery, visiting the historic Ahwahnee lodge, or going for a hike or bike ride along the river.
Yosemite Falls - During your free time in Yosemite Village, you can explore Yosemite Falls on your own.
Ansel Adams Gallery - In your free time in Yosemite Village, you can visit the gallery to see a collection of Ansel Adams’ original photographs.
El Portal - This tour mirrors our camping tour, but instead of camping, you’ll stay in a comfortable hotel room! The itinerary, vehicle, and meals are the same as the camping tour. Enjoy a freshly prepared dinner at camp, along with s’mores and stories around the campfire. Don’t forget to rest up for a full day of park exploration tomorrow. The local lodge is just steps away from the campground.
Yosemite High Country
Yosemite National Park - Ready for clear, sparkling lakes and crisp mountain air? Spend a full day exploring Yosemite’s beautiful lakes, hiking to mountain summits with lush greenery views, and passing through peaceful meadows. Your guide will ensure the group makes the most of the park, customizing hikes to suit everyone’s needs.
Yosemite to San Francisco
Yosemite Valley - On the final morning, we’ll have a quick breakfast, prepare another brown bag lunch, and pack up before heading into Yosemite Valley.
El Capitan Meadow - Gather for one last group activity, visiting El Capitan Meadow to watch daring rock climbers tackle the largest granite monolith in North America.
San Francisco - After a day of exploration, we’ll return to the San Francisco Hilton, arriving around 8:30pm – 9pm.

- June through September in Yosemite is hot and sunny with occasional afternoon showers. May and October days are warm with cooler nights. As with all mountain environments, weather can vary quickly, so a layer of warm clothing is a good idea.
