Great trip - Really enjoyed this trip! Our driver/tour guide George was fantastic. Provided a lot of history about the areas. Really nice gentleman and funny too. Monterey was lovely; a great spot for shopping, sightseeing and lunch. As for Carmel, we only stopped at a high-end shopping plaza so we didn’t see too much of the city, so I could have done without that part. Overall though, I’d recommend this trip for sure!

Interesting Tour - Wished we had more time at Monterey, Pebble Beach and Carmel. Unfortunately, my seat was broken and would not stop reclining.

Monterey and Pebble Beach. - The bus was 45 minutes late. The tour guide, Danny, was very difficult to understand. He has a arong spanish accent. I was extremely uncomfortable with him driving with one hand and holdong a microphone in other hand. Not safe at all. Often he wandered slightly out of the lane into the oncoming traffic lane; you could feel the bus tires on the center line reflectors. We loved Monterey. Carmel was just okay. The bus did not have any outlets to charge our cell phones. This trip was long and a better bus with charging would have been nice. Also, we stopped at Pigeon Point light station and the bathroom was a hole in the ground, disgusting! Surely, there were other options. The scenery was beautiful and the stop in little town of Davenport was interesting.

1 day trip. Monterey. carmel by the sea. Big sur. - I enjoyed the trip. The weather wasn't as good as expected. So I didn't get the pictures I wanted although the fog shifted by the time we got to monterey. I feel the tour is rushed. Although it was a 13 hour day. Doug our driver was a character. He had a dry sense of humour most people didn't appreciate but he did make me laugh on some of the things he said. The bus needs to have a toilet on the bus. The stops are not adequate to cater for a 52 seater bus. The stops were rushed. Didn't get time to take pictures because I spent most of the 20 minutes queuing for the toilets and he was gonna leave us if we were late back. My only moan was the toilets. The stops aren't enough fir the amount of people.

Trip not respecting what is in the reservation - We stopped 1 hour in carmel instead of 1.5 hours as stated in the booking But then we stopped 20 min at garlic world. Why do you cut planned excursions to stop at shops??? The smell of garlic on the bus was unbearable and i had to wear the face mask for 2.5 hours till we reached sf

Bad experience - was hoping for better - Contacted Gray Line directly when booking tour to ask if we could remain in Carmel with our luggage, which they agreed to. Contacted them again before the trip to ensure there was space for luggage which they confirmed there was. Morning of tour we check out from hotel, go to pick up point, and on arrival of the bus get told there isn't enough space for luggage. Luckily the bus wasn't full so our luggage was able to be stored (just about), but staff were rude and unhelpful, acting like it was our fault. Not a good start to what should be a nice relaxing day. Tour guide was impersonal and relayed information like he was reading from a script, didn't seem to care if we were listening or not. (A stark difference to the tour guide experience with Incredible Adventures San Francisco, who were brilliant.) Wouldn't use Gray Line SF again and would think twice before using elsewhere in the world.
