Don’t miss out - Our tour guide Scott was a former journalist & author. He knew San Francisco inside/out. The tour was so much more than a food tour, the food was almost incidental. We received a rich history of San Francisco regarding the gold rush years, the 1906 earth quake in addition to other historical insights. The Food. Simply amazing. I won’t give it away, but suffice it to say you won’t be disappointed. Also… it appears October is the best time weather wise to visit. It’s their Indian summer with temps in the 70’s. My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was one of our highlights visiting San Francisco.

This tour was fun. We had... - This tour was fun. We had lots of samplings of food around Chinatown. There was a lot of incorporation of San Francisco History in the tour. I love how food is culture and the tour guide really used that mindset in his tour.

A great tour to enjoy the sites, sounds and food of Chinatown San Francisco - We met Andre, our guide, at the appointed spot on time and he brought treats! We had a small tour which was really great. I never did a Chinatown tour while I had been to SF 6 years ago. So this time my husband and I decided to take a food tour and really enjoyed it. Coming from the Pacific NW, we are comfortable in our local Chinatowns and we learned a lot of things we didn't know. It's a great experience to see fortune cookies being made, chow down on nice fresh dim sum in an establishment that has been in operation since the early 1900's, enjoy a tea service and finish off with some great traditional dishes. All in all, a great tour with a friendly, informative guide. I frequently use Viator and will continue as I feel I get good value from them.

Been to Chinatown many times but never enjoyed it this much! - The guide was knowledgable, friendly, funny, and well connected. Our table and food was ready and waiting at each stop and the tour was according to schedule. She volunteered to take photos of people along the way. A highlight for us was the tea shop. But I also very much enjoyed watching my boyfriend eat a chicken foot! (nobody else was brave enough- including me). I've been to Chinatown many times and never enjoyed it this much!

Great tour with caring guide! - Great tour with Isabella. She was able to work around me not being able to eat Gluten. I knew I wouldn't be able to eat everything or potentially even anything but she was able to substitute where she could and was very clear about risk of cross contamination. She took every care to make sure I could participate which was very appreciated. I didn't anticipate being able to have much in regards to food and was there more for my mother who was with me and for her to have the experience. But Isabella made it so I could enjoy some of the food and success - was not glutened! The tea tasting was amazing and probably the best stop! Great history shared along the way. We saw places I wouldn't have ventured in or knew about without a guide.

S.F. Chinatown food - Interesting trip. Saw lots of interesting sites and got a lot of information. As far as the food part, some was good, some ok. Lunch was Peking duck but not enough to feed all the people at our table. The tea tasting to end the tour was great.

Not great. - I hate writing a negative review, but this was a disappointment. The food of the food tour wasn’t enough for a meal. We left hungry and had to go eat afterwards. The guide was knowledgeable about SF history, but since this was a food tour, I would have liked to know more about what we were eating and why. The tea tasting, while delicious, was run by an extremely arrogant man who wasn’t very nice about answering questions. In all, this was more of a history of SF tour with a focus on Chinatown. The food just happened to be there every 30-40 min or so. The guide also made a HUGE deal about tipping before the tour even started, which was awkward. I’d recommend a different company.
