We experienced the Theater Ride. It was a blast! - Our group visited "The Flyer" and had a great time! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was 57 of us visiting San Francisco at Pier 39. The guest relations were very helpful. I would highly recommend taking a trip for big groups exploring all the fun attraction they have to offer. They make it very easy to purchase group tickets and at a reasonable price.

Wasn’t expecting how fast it goes. - My husband and I were not expecting the fast flying of the “ride”. There were times that I had to close my eyes as some of the fly through scenes were a bit much for me, visually. With the wind machine, it did seem like we were moving through the sky. Pushing my back against the seat back was helpful as it felt precarious with my feet dangling. We were glad we did it. We paid full price at $14 each and enjoyed the exhilaration.

Unique experience - My husband and I enjoyed The Flyer. It was quite an unusual and exciting experience. I did feel a bit dizzy during part of the ride! Don’t think it’s worth the usual $14 admission as duration is under 10 minutes, but it was much better value having access with our Go City passes. Pretty cool as something different to do.

Boring - Meh, I don’t really know about this one. I compare this to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at Universal Studios Hollywood, without the upside down part. The seats just move and turn with the projection in front of you, you have a seatbelt and only a seatbelt to secure you.

Pleasant end to trip - The kids enjoyed this as we did it at the end of our trip to SF, and it is kind of a fly by of all the places we'd been! However, its nowhere close to the experience of Soarin' at Disneyland, which is what it models itself on. You aren't truly in the air and the screen isn't as immersive.

A bit of fun - This experience was okay, had to wait more than 20 minutes to even get on the ride and then there seemed to he technical issues so there was another 10 minute wait. The experience itself is fun but nothing overly special. At least it's not too expensive.

Decent Ride - Decent ride for the amount of money you pay. Would do it again but only if a friend hasn't tried the ride.

Underwhelming - We have done some similar rides in the past and we found this one underwhelming. The name can be somewhat misleading as you sit in a chair that moves on its base. You are not lifted in the air like on a ski chairlift which is what the other experiences we have done were like. The movie itself is probably 7-8 minutes long and the story was a little cheesy. You do get to see the most important San Francisco sites and some views are really awesome. However, there are times where the action is happening so fast on the screen that the image is blurry. You get the feeling you are on a rollercoaster and it can get nauseating if you are prone to motion sickness. If you like this kind of ride, then this one is probably for you. But it just wasn’t our cup of tea. Staff was nice and friendly and I really like that they paid close attention to security (as they should), by individually checking all seat belts to make sure they were properly secured.

Don’t waste your money…better on google - Awful- 7 minutes of some video with NO narration so you didn’t know what you were seeing - can get better on google if you ask for video drone of sf. The seats moved a bit sure and there was wind but the ad said it was 20 min total with preview etc….I asked the guy after and he said everything changed from Covid….but adding narration. To the 7 minutes has zero to do with Covid…don’t waste your money…

Motion sickness guaranteed - My family and I went on the flyer. It was not worth our time and money. The ride gave us motion sickness. The screen was blurry and the scenario was quite cringey and too fast moving. And for the amount of money we paid, we thought it was very short, not even 10 minutes like we were told. Would not recommend, instead go see the sea lions for free as they are way more entertaining and would not make you sick.
