Great experience all in all - The food and service in the cafe was excellent! Was surprised by this. Usually “museum” food is not good. This was the exception.

Educational and beautiful - The architecture and paintings were all so beautiful. You feel transformed into a European museum not in the middle of a large congested city.

Fabulous! - I am a native San Franciscan and have visited The Legion of Honour since I was in a stroller! At 74 years young, I’m still in awe of this wonderful magical place, where time stands still for me with overflowing memories.

a wonderful little museum - a variety of works, all periods, not too many people - especially a RODIN collection which would be the largest (??? and the Rodin museum in Paris!?) be careful, very few buses to leave the museum, Uber/taxi essential

A woman's work is never done - I loved the Mary Cassatt exhibit, location, the art itself and the descriptions of Mary's life which gave me some insight into her struggles in the societal thinking of the time

Nice place to spend a day. - This is my second trip to San Francisco. During my first trip in 2016, weeks drove past the modern art museum but didn’t have time to see it. I wanted to go there this time. Unfortunately it is closed on Wednesday. So we chose this museum. My hosts have not seen this museum. The museum is located on high ground with views of the Golden Gate and the city. It has ample parking and the exterior looks like a palace. There were many rooms of exhibits ranging from sculptures, paintings, ceramics, architecture and artefacts. Two or three rooms were under renovation. We liked the museum very much. We spent more than three hours with the exhibits and about an hour in the cafeteria. The food was very tasty. The tickets for this museum come with free tickets to the de young museum near the botanical garden. It was a memorable day.

Don’t miss this Rodin collection - We enjoyed visiting this museum. It’s a perfect size without being overwhelming. The Rodin collection is amazing and there are some beautiful paintings to see. The pottery/porcelain is beautiful but there’s a lot. A great half day activity in a lovely location with a nice little cafe.

Bad service / treatment - The legion of honor museum would not accept the tickets that I bought through your website, and it was quite embarrassing, insinuating it was fake and they don’t work with TripAdvisor. Not a pleasant experience at all.
