The best food tour of the mission district - This food tour was so well organized. The restaurants and food samples choices were spot on. Our guide Casey was so knowledgeable about the history of the mission district and her stories kept us all interested. I highly recommend this food tour

You won't leave hungry! - I loved this food tour. Spud is the best tour guide. He is so knowledgable not just about the food but also the history and culture of SF. I would go on any of Spud's tours if I have the chance.

Family Mission District Food Tour - We had such a great tour with Michael, the narrative about the history of the district and how the communities and cuisine evolved made us feel present and added to our enjoyment of the food we sampled. The history of the murals added another layer of interest. Dietary requirements were catered for with no stress

Eating with the locals at the Mission District. - A taste of the Mission District booming food scene was a great 3 hour walk. Michael B led the way, shared his knowledge and in closing, we finished at the scrumptious Tartine Bakery. Loved it.

Familiarize yourself with this area - Spud was knowledgeable and personable. Even though I am a native San Franciscan I appreciated all the stories about the area and city. There was a good selection of tastes. A great way to see the area.

We had a variety of great food from taco's and empanadas to pastries. A terrific way to spend 3 hours getting to experience The City and the food. I highly recommend for tourist as well as locals

Very Good Food Tour in the Mission - Overall, this is a very good tour. Michael, our guide, was friendly and very knowledgeable about the Mission District, the restaurants in the area, and SF as a whole. The food was very good and we left full. It was nice that we always walked a few blocks between food stops to give us time to digest. Note that no drinks are provided on this tour. Other tours I've done have typically included some kind of drink. The places we went to did have interesting options, like sangria, agua fresca, horchata, but we had to pay for those ourselves. Guess that's OK, given the price point. Just pointing it out. My only other comment is that while we got a ton of information on the area and its history, we did not get much information about the food itself or the people behind it. While eating, we were pretty much left alone. Michael was great at answering questions if we asked them, but I was surprised we didn't get some kind of "story" in each place we stopped. I'm a foodie and a local, so was familiar with everything we had; but others may not, for example, have known what an "arepa" was.

Too much talk, not enough food & wine! - We've loved many food tours in Europe, so thought we'd try the experience in S.F., even though we've lived here for 30 years. The Mission District food was OK, but the overall experience was a little below average. Biggest concern was that we were supposed to be on a 3 hour tour, but our guide talked so much that it lasted for over 4 hours, and that wasn't a bonus. He talked for 45 minutes on the sidewalk before we even went to our first food stop, and we were HUNGRY! A little history goes a long way, but too much history is just a bore. Enjoyed the side trips to view the Mission murals, but we spent more time looking at street art than eating. And of the 5 restaurants we went to, we only went inside one. All other food was eaten on the sidewalks out of paper bags. We arrived at our final destination so late that we had to take our "breakfast buns" on the go, and who wants breakfast buns for dessert @ 3pm? Finally, not a single food stop included anything to drink except water. There was sangria and beer to be purchased at an added cost, but every food tour we've done in Europe very much sampled the food and the wine TOGETHER. This tour was completely devoid of alcohol, which I'm afraid makes it not worth the cost.
