Lands End - Stop #3 – Land’s End Overlook
The next stop on your tour is the historic Land’s End, where you can stretch your legs and enjoy views of Sutro Baths and the Pacific Ocean coastline. - Sutro Baths - At Lands End, explore the Sutro Baths, a large, privately owned public saltwater swimming pool complex built in 1896. Although it burned down in June 1966, its ruins are now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and the Sutro Historic District.
- Ocean Beach - Ocean Beach is located on the west coast of San Francisco, along the Pacific Ocean. The “Great Highway” runs beside the beach, with the Cliff House and the former site of Sutro Baths at the northern end. The beach is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, managed by the National Park Service.
- Golden Gate Park - Marvel at the beauty of Golden Gate Park as you pass by Dutch windmills, Queen Wilhelmina’s tulip garden, the bison paddock, and ancient redwood and eucalyptus groves.
- Golden Gate Park Windmills & Tulips - The Dutch Windmill, the northern of two functioning windmills on the western edge of Golden Gate Park, was completed in 1903 and designated a San Francisco Landmark on December 6, 1981.
- Bison Paddock - A long-standing pasture with a grazing herd of American bison, maintained by the San Francisco zoo.
