Great walking tour!!! - Meeting place very easy to find. Brian was a terrific guide. People in the neighborhood recognized him and greeted him. The food was generous and luckily we did some walking so we could keep eating. We didn’t just visit eateries but some very interesting locally owned business in North Beach…love SFOG!!! The last stop was pizza and we were all so full! Before Brian left us he told us to ask for boxes and take it home…we are looking forward to returning to several of the restaurants when we visit San Francisco in the future.

Would do this tour weekly if I lived there, haha! - This tour was tremendous. Isabela was a guide extraordinaire, and I assure you that you need not eat breakfast, as you'll get more than your fill of food on this tour. That's not to say you'll walk away feeling like some ancient Roman ready to purge. Au contraire (he said, switching from ancient Romans to pedestrian French phrases), mes freres et mes soeurs. The food is not cloyingly sated with salt and sugar. It's quality food. Believe me, I've taken food tours where I've left feeling like the last stop should be at some sort of Purge Station. Not so with this one. Perfectly paced with portions that might seem a bit large but, once sampled, are not overly filling because of their quality. Finally, Isabela is a gem. I would have bet large (and I don't gamble, but on this one I would have) that, upon meeting her, part of her tour would not include a segment where she talks about the time she got to interview a teenaged Tupac. For real. I don't know if you'll be lucky enough to get Isabela as your guide, but the tour was tremendous.
