Great Tour! - I was on a Dylan's Tours trip to Muir Woods, Sausalito, and the optional Alcatraz addition. My tour guide was Per and he was wonderful. Our group was around 15 people and was made up of all different age groups and physical abilities. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
I couldn't find a lot of information about what to expect from the tour online prior to booking, so for those interested: Per took us to Nob Hill, Pacific Heights, the Presidio, and the base of the Golden Gate Bridge before continuing on to Muir Woods, Sausalito, and we stopped briefly at the Palace of Fine Arts on the way back. Per was knowledgeable-- he had all the movie, celebrity, history, and real estate facts. He was also very funny and comfortable to talk to, giving great recommendations of hikes to take, food to eat, and things to do. He even had a trip playlist timed to coincide appropriately with where we were on our tour. He was a teacher in a former life, so he's very comfortable in his role as a guide. If you get him as your tour director, you will have a great experience.
The Alcatraz portion of the trip was arranged by Dylan's Tours, but not facilitated by them. Everyone in the group chose to add Alcatraz, so Per dropped us off at Pier 33, we picked up our tickets from Will Call and boarded our assigned ferry. The tour from there was at our own pace. The audio guide was great, and the island was well worth the add on. Just note that it is a VERY windy and cold place, so make sure to have your sweatshirt!

Be sure to book! - Great and very entertaining tour with a nice guide. Be able to gain many impressions in a short time.
No unnecessary program items.
Time allocation at the stops is optimal.
It all worked out on time. Also the Lombard Leap after the tour is highly recommended.

Fabulous tour of SF and area - Our guide, Sully, was exceptional. Very knowledgeable about lots of things related to our tour, specifically, and SF in general. The overall tour was a great overview of several SF area spots.

Excellent tour and Mark was the best - Great tour and tour guide. Mark was very knowledgeable about all things San Francisco and was very kind. He even did a quiz while on the bus to identify different bands from the bay area. Highly recommend this tour as well as including the visit to alcatraz

The Tour Was Great & Evan Was Fantastic - What a fantastic day we had with Evan from Dylan's Tours! He was knowledgeable, interesting and so fun. We took a prerecorded audio bus tour the day before that was very disappointing but Dylan's Tours was great. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up!

Great day because of a great tour and a great guide - We toured with Sulley all around San Francisco hearing about the history and interesting facts about the city. We stopped at the Palace of Fine Arts, crossed the Golden Gate Bridge, walked through redwood trees that are thousands of years old at Muir Woods, had time to eat lunch and quickly shop in Sausalito. My family opted to add the tour of Alcatraz to the day. It was a day that was meant to enjoy the sights and sounds of San Francisco and the surrounding areas. Sulley was an awesome guide, and the day was amazing! I would definitely recommend this tour!

Great Guide - Limited Time at Major Attractions - Sully was a fantastic guide and was very informative. Major issue we had with the tour was not enough time was provided at several of the more important stops. Only 19 minutes was allowed at the Golden Gate Bridge stop which did not give us time to take pictures and walk up on the bridge. Also in Sausalito we barely had time to eat and no time to shop or explore the town. All we did was get pre-made slices of pizza. While some of the smaller details about Billionaires Row, Chinatown, and the Old Record Plant in Sausalito were mildly interesting these took away important minutes that could have been used elsewhere.
