Additional Information

This experience to the towering granite cliffs and gushing waterfalls of Yosemite National Park and its Giant Sequoias takes off 365 days a year. This is the only 1-day Yosemite Valley tour from San Francisco where you will experience the solitude of the Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias, the largest living things on the Earth. Enjoy free, unique foreign language audio guides with geo-based content that functions without the internet post-download. Your heart will race as you enter Yosemite Valley for 5 glorious hours to enjoy Lower Yosemite, Nevada and Bridalveil falls, then take some moments at El Capitan, Half Dome and other iconic monuments.

  • Access to the Sequoia Grove can be difficult during winter months, generally October through May, and other activities may be substituted at the discretion of the guide
  • During winter months, temperatures in Yosemite can vary drastically to the ones in San Francisco. Therefore, it is recommend to wear winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads
  • The Giant Sequoias Grove is located at a higher elevation and the hike is dependent on trail conditions, especially from October through May. Ice and snow might make the trail unsafe to hike. The decision of whether it is safe to go on the hike will be made on a day by day basis. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed. However, while the trail might be closed, guests get to spend more time in Yosemite Valley. There you can see all the other great sights Yosemite has to offer, including El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more.
  • As tour sizes vary, transportation is in a 13-passenger van or up to a 41-passenger tour bus
  • Tour makes stops at approximately 8:30am for breakfast, 1pm for lunch and on the trip back for dinner. Meals are not included
  • Audio links are available in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, German, Korean, Chinese and Japanese. Specify language at time of booking under special requirements.
  • For hotel pickups, please select the Hilton Union Square if your hotel is not listed
  • California law requires tour guests to bring a car safety seat for all children under 8 years and under 4’ 9” (1.4 meters) in height. Any guest that does not provide their child’s safety seat at the time of the tour and does not inform the tour operator may not be allowed to board the tour and will not be subject to refund.

Quick glimpse of Yosemite - Very worthy for solo traveling who want to make preparations for deep Yosemite adventure later, one day tour which includes almost famous views of Yosemite, tunnel view and valley views are stunning natural views, EI-Captain is very amazing. Had 2 hours break in Low falls which people can climb and swim. The weather is perfect, driver gave several stops for toilets and buying food. worth it if you have quick glimpse of Yosemite. Will come back next year for a bit long trip.

Remarkable tour! - Absolutely LOVED this tour. The driver (Andy) was extremely knowledgeable- I learned so much from him about American history, agriculture and geometry (being an Aussie and not knowing any of it). He really cared about everyone’s well being, had plenty of dad jokes and you could just tell he was super passionate. The tour was just incredible. Make sure you have comfy shoes and plenty of water for the hike around the sequoias (it gets very hot on the walk in summer).

Amazing views, more amazing your guide. - Views were one in a lifetime, very long day but have time to rest and eat. our guide Andy Howse was incredibly enthusiastic about his job, took photos for everyone, taught us about history and geography of the area and was lovely in general. Andy recommended food ideas, took us around Yosemite even when he was supposed to be resting and obviously the park is breathtaking. One of the best tour guides I’ve had and he made sure we got back as close to our hotel as possible. Food options aren’t expensive and can eat on bus.

Superb experience - It was an awesome tour! The tour guide Randall was very knowledgeable and efficient. The bus didn’t have charging outlets for cell phones but they did provide us with wife access. The tour doesn’t provide any meals but they took us to a market where everyone bought their breakfast and lunch items, used restrooms and hoped back on the bus to proceed towards Yosemite. Overall, a wonderful an experience and worth the money to see Yosemite without driving up to the park. The drive up to Yosemite is not for the faint of heart so I recommend taking this tour if you are afraid of driving over pin loops and dangerous heights. I would give our driver and guide a 5 star.

Andy is amazing - Andy was our tour guide and he was the best! Glenda was our driver and she was awesome! Andy was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Went above and beyond at every turn. Friendly, personable, and worked to get us as much time in the park as possible. Glenda even brought snacks from her home to share!

Amazing Tour Guide! - When I booked the trip I was questioning my decision of getting up for a 530am 1 day bus trip to Yosemite and back by 9pm. At 530am or so that day I met Andy. If anyone was made to be a tour guide it is Andy! He is one of the most entertaining, engaging, knowledgeable dudes you will ever meet. His teammate Glenda behind the wheel is one of the sweeter ladies you will meet. She cares so much that she offers her own snacks for you that she pays for out of her own pocket. Andy & Glenda kept us going for over 15 hours without a dull moment. They also gave us time to rest during the early hours. He has the natural gift of an incredibly high social IQ not to mention a likely high IQ in general with all of the knowledge he has from all of the research he does in his free time. By the time the 15 plus hours was done we all felt like we'd known Andy for years. Oddly, all though I don't really know him I kind of miss him. Please go see this dynamic duo! You will not regret it! They provide more than a tour. It's an educational experience & a top notch comedy routine at times. Dr. Ryan T Fenton, DPT
