Go on the Hop on Hop off bus to see the main attractions of San Francisco - We came to San Francisco for three nights and went on the hop on and off bus. We found it to be one of the best experiences as our driver Willie was knowledgeable and entertaining. We took some amazing photos and it definitely was one of our highlights of the trip.

The trip overall is good,... - The trip overall is good, driver Pablo was very helpful but the bus needs update. Recorded narration about the landmarks we passed by are not clear esp. if you're on top of the double-decker bus. If you want to explore the city, this tour doesn't cover much and not much info is given about the places this tour is taking you. But for the price, it's still okay to take... just don't expect too much.

Disappointed. - I only had one afternoon to spend in the city and planned a brief tour to see the highlights starting at Union Square. Sadly, the 3.30pm bus failed to turn up. After almost one hour of waiting, the 4pm bus came. It was the last one. It finished at Fisherman's Wharf 15 mins later. I had to then pay for a streetcar to return to Union Square. I feel I did not get good value from the ticket and it would have been better to use public transport.

Avoid! - Avoid at all costs, booked the bus for 2 days, on the first day the bus was late leaving and missed the first 7 stops, we then had to get off and join another bus, tho ONLY good thing about this company is the driver Willie on the second bus,
The second day no bus at all! Received an email to say no buses were running and would get a refund for the second day, over 2 weeks later and I'm still chasing the refund and I don't hold out much hope so they have stolen my money! Please don't book, use the big bus company instead who seemed alot more professional and their buses alway ran!

Deluxe Tours is a fraud. - Avoid this company unless you want to waste your time and money. My fiancé and I bought tickets for a 2-day tour. We were told the buses would be at the stops every 30 minutes, from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm. We got on the bus, and after a while, the driver said that bus would be the last one that day (it was around 6 pm). The following days we were at the starting point but not a single bus appeared. We tried to call the company, we also went to the office, which was closed, having no answer, no servece, no refund. A guy from a different company told us this is a common practice of Deluxe Tours, they sell the tickets, but remain closed and the open whenever they want.

Not worth it! - Charged more than the on-the-spot booking rates. Bus frequency is low resulting in waste of time if you get down at a spot.

Complete rip off, never again - We bought tickets for the “deluxe” tour on the morning of 28th December from a rep in union square. After we paid the $120 for two of us a rep from another company came over and mentioned his buses run till later, the original rep then told us he would give us the next day free. We got on the bus, bit concerned as it was hardly in great condition, also the rep couldnt give us a receipt, we would have to get one at stop seven from his boss. Alarm bells were ringing. After half hour of sitting on a mostly empty bus we set off, in the time we were waiting three big bus company buses left. At bus stop 7 we all had to disembark into another bus. The driver/guide willy was the only good thing about this tour. We went round every stop to see where we would like to get off later, got out at union square to pop back to the hotel and went straight back to get on another bus to get off at pier 39. We waited a full hour, no rep to be seen, the big bus reps were helpful pointing us in the direction of this companies supervisor but she was useless, told us there was a bus on the way and seemed to find the situation amusing. We finally got to pier 39 and waited at the bus pick up at 3.45 for a whole hour, no bus. They told us the buses run till 6. We ended paying for an uber back to our hotel. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! I have never written a negative review in my life, i am not a karen, I am a busy person. However, when you are over 5000 miles away from home and pay a company to transport you around a completely alien city you expect to be able to rely on it and i would not like others to be ripped off and stuck like we were. If you are in union square looking at a hop on, hop off tour avoid this company at all costs, go for the Big Bus tour. This company is dishonest, unreliable and shambolic.

Only given credit for one day instead of two - We purchased two day passes and was only able to use them for one day. On the first day we got on the bus at the Union Park stop. The bus was very run down and didn’t have any logos to state we were on the right bus. Once we were on the bus no one scanned our tickets. We went straight to Fisherman’s Warf and never saw any of the stops in the middle. The bus driver said it was a connecting bus but we weren’t told this information when we got on. After a long day at the warf we decided to go back to the hotel. When we went to use it the next day, our tickets disappeared from our phone and Viator stated that it was complete. We requested a refund so we shall see if we get any money back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Escape from this company - I bought a 2-day tour for $65 with the hop-on hop-off bus company “San Francisco Deluxe.” They informed me that a bus would pass by the stops every 30 minutes! We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes in the cold, and no one showed up! I called the company, sent an email, and the manager hung up on me! I went to the ticket sales location, and the receptionist, along with the driver, was super rude and told me I had to call the manager. I said I would report them to the local authorities, and they laughed in my face! Avoid this company—they don’t answer the phone and are not honest! It’s a real scam, to put it mildly!
