• Tikal National Park - Tikal, also known as “Yax Mutal,” is among Guatemala’s most significant archaeological sites, situated within Tikal National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – located 19 miles north of Lake Peten Itza in the northern region of El Peten. The architectural marvels of Tikal, along with the rich history of the daily lives and customs of the Mayas, offer a journey back in time to the prehistoric civilization that once thrived there.

Our tour to witness the Tikal sunset commences at noon from San Ignacio Town towards the Western Border in Benque Viejo Town. We make sure our guests cross the border into Guatemala securely, where they are met by a proficient English-speaking guide. This guide will then lead a 1.5-hour drive through appealing landscapes.
Discover the richness of the Tikal National Park, get an understanding of the traditions and daily routines of the ancient Mayas, and enjoy a view of the jungle from atop a Mayan pyramid.
After exploring the Tikal Park, your guide will escort you to Temple IV, known for providing the most impressive view of the sunset.
As nighttime sets in, the greenery of the Maya jungle transforms under the dark sky and the sounds of the wildlife take on the role of a symphony until dawn.
Post-tour, you can savor a meal at a local eatery offering various dishes and shop for trinkets before returning back across the Belize border.
