An Exciting Trip - Our guide Nadie was so knowledgeable about the ruins and also provided us insights on the culture of this beautiful country. We also took the tour of the river, swam in the waterfalls and enjoyed a leisurely trip down the river while eating a delicious meal prepared on board by Nasir. Giovani was also a great host. He added humor and always extended a hand when we needed help maneuvering the trails. A great trip. Even enjoyed the bumpy ride to the river.

Fantastic family day in the mountains! - Would give more stars if we could! Our guide, Nadir was the best! He really made our day fantastic! The ruins were magnificent ant it was so interesting to learn about the history. Following that with an afternoon on the water, climbing waterfalls and cliff jumping was icing on the cake. The lunch was delicious too! Thanks for a great day!

Nadir’s chicken - Yes come for the views and the picturesque moments but definitely come because chef Nadir is throwing it down on the grill and his lovely assistant Captain Gio.😂😂

Awesome day full of history and local culture. - Our morning started with Dave taking us to the ruins where he was great at sharing the Mayan history, customs and how Belize still respects parts of that culture today. Next, he took us to the pontoon experience on the river where Giovani was also great about sharing information on the river, dam and wildlife. They grilled for us while we swam and were just a great group to joke with and get to know. Couldn’t have asked for a more personable team.

Xunantunich and Jungle Waterfall Adventure ... The time of our lives! - What a pleasant day we had on this tour! In the morning we visited Xunantunich, and our guide, Eder, gave us such interesting information about this Mayan ruin! He presented a "vision" of what it was like to live long ago! After the archeologic exploring we changed gears for an afternoon of natural beauty, a bit of physical action (hiking into a waterfall, then swimming in the waterfall pools) interspersed with relaxation on a huge double-decker pontoon, as we navigated the Macal River. Jovanni was our boat captain, guide and chef, preparing a delicious meal which was cooked on a pontoon grill. He brought us to explore all his favorite places; caves, pools, beaches, that he frequented as a young boy. This area was once his "backyard" and we could FEEL his love for this land ... which made our experience even more worthwhile. Jovanni provided a lush, but safe, experience, and brought out the "kid" in us (75 year olds!) Thanks Eder and Jovanni for gifting us an amazing 10 star experience!

Great for families - My family (39F, 38M, 6M, and 2M) had an amazing time on this excursion. Our day started at 8am when we met our guide, David Hernandez, in a convenient location and he drove us over to Xunantunich. He was very knowledgeable about the site and was patient with our kids. We spent a good amount of time at the site (close to 2 hours), and explored everything that was open to us. Next, we headed to the pontoon where we met up with another guide (Giovanni) and 2 other groups of travelers. We got to see Pepe, the adorable crocodile that hangs out near the boats, before heading to the first waterfall. The setting was beautiful, the water was calm, the forest was magnificent, the falls were great. Our guides served a delicious lunch on the boat, before taking us to a second waterfall. There were opportunities to explore under waterfalls, use the rope swing into the water, explore near the falls. We got back to San Ignacio after 5, so it was a full day of fun. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would recommend it to other families, even those traveling with smaller kids.
