Magical town and beautiful architecture - A fascinating town, whose tourist part transported me to better times. Its seven churches and beautiful architecture make it worth spending more than three days in Mompox. You can go to the Pijiño swamp and sail on the planchón along the Magdalena River, go to the filigree and cheese workshops and simply sit and quietly watch the river. Not many tourists go to Mompox at the moment, so it is a very quiet place to take a relaxing vacation. I recommend the Hotel Portal de la Marquesa, whose staff is unbeatable.
