Morado Natural Monument & Hot Springs

Monumento Natural El Morado - Hiking through an amazing mountain glacial valley in the middle of the Andes. Enjoy terrific views of the Morado Mount of 4500 meters and San Francisco Glacier.

Day 1: 3 hours of ascent and 2 hours downhill. Total: 5 hours (including rest time)

Time of transportation

Day 1: 2 hours from Santiago to the beginning of the path + 40 minutes of transport to the hot springs after the hiking.

Termas Valle de Colina - Enjoy and evening in the warm waters of Colina Hot-springs in the middle of the Andes (some of them more than 40º Celsius) while you see a colorful sunset over the mountains followed by gorgeous starry night as you can see in a few places in the world. Maybe a shouting star will cross while you enjoy a cold beer.

Morado Hanging Glacier and Lagoon

Glaciar Colgante El Morado - Hiking through a glacial valley surrounded by amazing mountain peaks. You will reach a beautiful glacier which hangs into a lagoon surrounded by icebergs.

Duration of the activity:

4 hours of ascent y 3 hours of downhill. Total 7 hours (including rest time)

Time of transportation:

30 minutes from hot springs to the beginning of the path + 2,5 h back to Santiago

Spend two days hiking through the heart of the Andes, surrounded by breathtaking glacier views. In the evenings, relax in soothing hot springs nestled in the mountains and marvel at the starry sky and shooting stars. Your hike will take you through picturesque Andean valleys, offering sights of various glaciers and Andean lagoons dotted with icebergs. Our campsite will be conveniently located near the hot springs.

• Physical and medical condition must be compatible with activity (When in doubt, please ask)
• If you choose the ‘Two Day Hike’, please bring a change of clothes, camping gear, a swimsuit and sunglasses
