Hidden Paradise - There is so much more to Cabo than the beaches. The Sierra Laguna conceals a wealth of incredible natural features. Max is a wonderful guide. He knows the interesting locations, the local personalities, the geology, the flora and fauna, the history, and of course the best Hot Springs. He is very flexible and adapts the trip to the desires and abilities of the patrons. His vehicles are new, clean, and comfortable, and we particularly appreciated that he picked us up and dropped us off at our hotel in San Jose del Cabo.

Great Hike & Adventure in Baja - Carlos (and Max) were great hosts and guides. Max set it all up and Carlos was our guide for the day. He took us to areas we'd never have seen otherwise on the way to the hike. The hike was amazing, and Carlos did a great job assessing our skill level and tailoring the hike so that it was fun and adventurous but not overwhelming.
Carlos was knowledgeable about the area taking us through more back roads and small villages on the way back, and stopped us at a local taco stand which was fantstsic.
All in all a great trip thanks to Carlos!

A wonderful experience! - What a fantastic experience!! Our guide Carlos picked us up at our hotel. The tour was private and completely at our pace which was so nice. The car was a newer, comfortable, compact SUV. We stopped at a store on the way to get drinks and snacks that were kept on ice in a cooler. Carlos was very knowledgeable and used the drive time to tell us about the tour and what to expect. Once we got to the mountains we stopped at a lookout of a very large natural oasis to take some photos then continued on to the hot spring area that is adjacent to a ranch. It was a short hike through a camping area that had toilets and changing rooms, down to the river and hot spring. We climbed around on the rocks, swam in the river to a small waterfall. The water was cool and clear. The hot spring pools were next to the river. The pools were not too deep and it was easy to find a comfy spot to sit and recline in the very warm, mineral rich water. After swimming and soaking there were plenty of places to relax and dry off. After changing into dry clothes, we drove Baja-style through back roads to the town of Miraflores to Los Agaves for a late lunch. The food and drinks were fresh and delicious. We enjoyed mango margaritas, guacamole and chips, lobster tacos and flan. On the drive back to our hotel, our guide stopped to show us his favorite beach in San Lucas, which we then visited the next day.

Great unique experience - Carlos’ passion and appreciation for the area were infectious. He made it clear that the plan was ultimately up to us and what we were comfortable with, and he shared a lot of knowledge about the land and plants. The hot springs were relaxing, and we paired that with the cold water of the river. The hike wasn’t long, but it was pretty rocky. There were a few places where it was helpful to use our hands.
After our hike, we had a late lunch at a restaurant owned by Carlos’ friend. It was a charming place in Miraflores. The mango drinks and homemade flour tortillas were particularly delicious.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

An Oasis in Baja - I was looking for something different to do in Baja California. I was also looking for something that was outside of the tourist area they gave more of a field of what Baja was like. Carlos was an excellent guide sharing his many years of experience of the area. He tailored the trip to what we wanted to do and felt up to. This isn't a fufu trip, but an excursion into nature of the region. You get to see it's beauty and experience the simple pleasures of the area. The hot springs had a bathroom and changing area that was basic, but clean. The water was clear to the bottom in both the hot springs and the cold stream pool. At times until like we would only ones there. Before taking a dip, Carlos took us on a hike of the mountain. It was rugged and not for those who aren't in good shape. We enjoyed it and especially the view at the top. You can bring water shoes, but I never did wear mine. Afterwards we took dirt road back to middle florist, and had lunch at great taco restaurant. We have the fish and chicken tacos with a bowl of guacamole. The owner was kind and attentive to our needs. It was a great ending to a wonderful day.

Great relaxing adventure - First off, request Carlos as your tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about the entire area, from the marina to San Jose and the mountains in between. He lives there, kayaks there, hikes there, climbs there, surfs there, and knows all the off the beaten tracks there. He is passionate about all the nature that makes Cabo, Cabo. With that said, he promptly picked us up at 830a. and catered our hot springs towards our desires. If you want to take the adventurous side roads to get there (which I recommend), he'll gladly do that. If you would rather take highway, he's cool with that, too. He is safety conscientious with you in mind. He'll assist you in any way, he brings water and snacks, and even sets an umbrella up over you so you don't get too much sun. The hot springs were amazingly warm and soothing. There was a river you could cool off in and traverse up to waterfalls. After as long as you wanted experiencing the area, we went to the best outdoor, local taco restaurant. Yes, get the margarita and/or pina colada with local dragon fruit in it. The flour tortillas are hand-made locally, and all the meats/seafood are locally sourced. Service there was excellent as well. Just a great day hanging out with a cool guy living the Cabo dream. A memory for a lifetime.

Max gave us a five star experience today! - Our group of 4 had such an incredible time with Max today! From the time we got settled in the car to head to Santiago until we were dropped off 8 hours later, Max kept us entertained and active. We learned about the history of the area, geology of the hot springs, and he even thrilled us with a high dive from 40 feet up. We visited and enjoyed hot springs, waterfalls and cool lakes, all the while feeling safe and cared for.
To top it off, Max took us to Agave restaurant, a family owned restaurant nearby that served the most delicious lobster tacos, the lobster had been caught that morning. And Tequila the friendly cat was a sweet bonus.
Such a great day! Thanks Max!
