OUTSTANDING Food Tour. - My wife and I took this tour on Nov. 6th and It was outstanding. However, when our Uber driver dropped us off, we were concerned we might be in the wrong place. The starting point is in a working class area of town and we were a bit worried. As more tourists arrived our concerns lessened and when the tour guide arrived, we realized our concerns were unfounded. The tour started with 4 sites in the immediate area where we watched and tasted the making of fresh handmade tortillas, they were excellent. We then traveled to a market that had numerous vendors displaying their fresh from the farm. meats, produce and cheeses for sale to the local eateries. We even got to taste a few samples. Next, we walked to a restaurant next door to sample the freshly prepared items. During this time, out tour guide Alan (?), informed us about the food and culture of the local area. From the meeting point, we proceeded on a 2 mile journey stopping at several restaurants that offer us a choice of delectable items to sample, all cooked as we waited eating chips and dip, a chocolate store and an ice cream truck. Inter spread with these stops, there was also a tequila tasting. The tour ended in front of the Misión San José del Cabo. Throughout the tour, Alan continually pointed out items of interest and answered our questions. He did a great job as our guide. Other then our own unfounded concerns, this tour could not have been any better. We highly recommend you give it a try. It's a 5 out of 5.

Tour with Allen for a fun culinary experience! - Allen was our guide for the San Jose del Cabo morning Food Tour. He was friendly and engaged with everyone in the group. He walked at a moderate speed so that everyone could keep up. He pointed out different buildings and businesses that were not directly part of the tour for our knowledge or future reference. The tour itself incorporated a nice selection of foods - tortillas, cheese, several kinds of tacos/rellenos, tequila, chocolate and ice cream - all delicious! We were educated on the history of the foods & how they were made or the ingredients incorporated. Allen was clearly a local, knowing many shopkeepers and areas about town. Would wholeheartedly endorse this tour - enjoy!

Enjoy the Flavours! - October 2024. Just finished our taco food tour with Hector the Collector. We started at the Tortilla factory at the Mercator at the Municipal Market. Then ventured off to various restaurants that the locals ( ie those in the know) go to. We had samples of many freshly made salsas, food samples including a Mayan dishes, and tequila tastings, plus information on the traditional foods of Mexico. The emphasis was on the fresh flavours, and the tour did not disappoint. Recommended.

Fabulous taco tasting tour - hidden local gems! - My husband, son and I did this tour based on a recommendation of a friend. So glad we did! It was our favorite activity of our trip. We lucked out and it was just the three of us on the tour. Hector (the Connector!) was our tour guide and he was fantastic! Loved his info on the area and the details of the tortilla-making stop, and the grocery store. We stopped at 4 or 5 taco shops and tasted everything from Carne Asada, to fresh fish to Al Pastor. SO GOOD! Places you would not know about as a tourist. There was a tequila tasting stop as well, which was very personal and informative. Finished up the tour in the main town square market (wonderful place!) and was able to get a chocolate tasting and an opportunity to buy some souvenirs. Would highly recommend this tour. It was about 3 hours long and a little warm, but easily accessible to water along the way. Bring your appetite - you will not leave hungry!!

Amazing, immersive opportunity. Fun and informative. - Great way to experience the Choyero Culture. Food is the keep, the municipal Market is very much a working market. So be ready, Farm Fresh Foods just like Whole Foods without the sensitivities. Allen our guide was the best guide in the world. We sat and ate family style, that means we ate with others. The others were great. Allen probably would have let us eat much much more...the tacos were.more.then filling though. Great experience, bring small pesos. 20s, 50s 100s. We used to go to ATM but they give us $500 MXN bills. That's like buying a Thirst buster from 7-11 with a $100 bill.
