Great Experience! - We had a wonderful evening with our excursion crew, including Cappy the whale spotting dog! Although late in the season, we saw 2 juvenile whales several times and a stingray. Sophie was full of great information about the whales and their habits. Our excursion ended with a gorgeous sunset and the moon rising over the water. I would highly recommend this team of professional and friendly people.

Wonderful sunset boat ride - We had an amazing time on our trip! We lucked out and were the only two on "Captain Hollywood's" boat. Our guide was great. She was exited and knowledgeable. We saw a school of dolphins that jumped and played around us for about 30 minutes!

Laid Back no problem attitude made for an excellent trip - The management was excellent. There was a disturbance in traffic so most of the clients were late they held up the tour so we were able to still go and it was a really no problem attitude.

Whales everywhere! - Unexpectedly great evening! Our guide, Sophia, was an oceanographer with a great deal of knowledge about whales and the waters around Baja. We were lucky enough to see and follow several groups of mom/baby whales. She taught us about whale behaviors as we watched, and her joy about them was infectious. The weather and seas also cooperated and it was a wonderful evening.

Best whales watching and best guide - Best whale watching experience I’ve ever had. Paula, the marine biologist guide, was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable and passionate about the whales and made the experience perfect. We saw many humpback whales, and Eduardo the captain helped get us get so close but without disturbing them. I highly recommend this tour

Outstanding whale watching excursion. - This was truly an exceptional experience! My wife and I are frequent travelers to Los Cabos. We often stay in San Jose del Cabo and drive down to Cabo San Lucas when we have the desire to participate in boat activities and have been on a number of small and large boat trips from Cabo San Lucas in the past. This time we were fortunate to find Salty Cabo Excursions online and we are so happy that we did. Salty Cabo Excursions is located in the marina at San Jose del Cabo which is much closer to our resort than the boats in Cabo San Lucas. Online booking was effortless and the owner, Roland, provided us with detailed directions and arrival instructions before the trip. Upon arrival we were met by Roland and his staff who were all very welcoming and accommodating. While we waited for the other tour participants to arrive, Roland made sure we were comfortable. We participated in the sunset whale watching tour with Sofia who is a very caring and passionate oceanographer. She was incredible. Her love for her job and for the marine life is clearly evident. She and the captain stressed safety at all times. Sofia provided such wonderful detailed information on the whales that we encountered and the environment that surrounded us in the Sea of Cortez. Unlike the crowded boats and waters of Cabo San Lucas, we found ourselves alone on the waters with no other boats in sight for most of the trip. This allows for a much more enjoyable experience. It was so peaceful as we watched mother whales and their calves frolic about. Sofia also lowered a hydrophone into the water so we could hear the whales ‘sing’ to each other. If you wish to get a relaxed, up close, whale watching experience then this is the one to choose. We would take this trip again without hesitation. In fact, we will next year when we return to Cabo.

Great experience - Highly recommend! - WOW - what a perfect night and great sunset whale watching cruise with Paula and captain Paco. We have been on many whale watching tours in Hawaii and Cabo and this is one of the best. Paula was so knowledgeable and genuine. Her excitement and love for the whales was wonderful to be around. We saw so many whales. The boat was comfortable. We loved that it was close to our hotel in San José del Cabo and we did not have to drive nearly a hour into town where the main marina is. This was small and intimate and did not feel like 5 boats in one location crowding the whales. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We stayed at Zadun and it was less than 10 minutes away from hotel. THANKS SALTY CABO!

Amazing experience! - An amazing experience with very knowledgeable guide and boat captain! Second time out and would highly recommend!!! Whales so close that the baby just about went under our boat!

Beautiful Sunset Tour - Three generations of family including a 17 month old had such a great trip, tour guide Paula was super friendly and knowledgeable and kept the food and beverages flowing. The captain Chato, was very considerate and tried to position the boat for the best pictures. While we only saw a few whales in the distance, the sunset more than made up for it. It was one of the best I’ve ever seen. After doing an arch tour in Cabo with another company, it was so relaxing to be the only boat out there. I highly recommend Salty Cabo Excursions.
