ATV tour of villages around Antigua Guatemala, Dec 2023 - My 2nd ATV tour via Simoon rentals and tour. I was only one on tour, my guide was Gio Asturias, who was impeccable in his knowledge of the area. It was approx a 6 hr tour via ATV, we visited about 4 local villages; and the Valhalla macadamia farm. Gio was very personable, an excellent communicator and very obviously loved his job. He went over and beyond to ensure my tour was a spectacular experience!!

Don't hesitate to book this tour! - We visited several villages near Antigua during a very pleasant day. The most memorable was the chocolate "factory," where we saw intensely hands-on artisanal production of discs of chocolate, some flavored with cardamom, ginger, orange. I loved visiting this tiny local business enterprise! The visit to the macadamia place included a face massage with macadamia oil. The coffee roaster was a bit touristy for our taste, but overall the places we visited were well worth the trip, interesting & even endearing. Our guide gave us insights into life in that area.

Fantastic tour - I was fortunate to have found this tour. Moises was my tour guide and Marlon- my driver. Every stop on the itinerary was fascinating, educational and fun. Loved the chocolate factory tour where I observed how the coco beans were roasted, then mixed with other ingredients and finally- made into delicious products. I bought lots of chocolate from their store to enjoy at home and with my family and friends- it is excellent. The next stop was in a lovely town where we saw how the local women did laundry on the main square, and thanks to Moises I also paid a visit to a small family-owned jade factory and store. Moises and Marlon treated me to a mid-morning snack of the famous local chicharrone-delicious! The visit to the macadamia nut farm was a lot of fun (do not miss to stop at the "World's Most Beautiful bathroom" there), I learned a lot about macadamias and also got a lovely face massage. Next on the itinerary was a traditional Mayan town to observe the Mayan ladies weaving, and finally- a coffee plantation and a traditional life and music museum. I didn't feel rushed, Moises was patient and waited for me to complete my purchases at all destinations. Thank you, Moises and Marlon, this was a trip to remember!

Great introduction to Guatemala - We particularly loved the coffee plantation but the macadamia plantation was also beautiful. Moises was an excellent guide and gave us lots of information about the country and specifically about Antigua both past and present.

Great tour - The tour was excellent. We visited places that my brother, who has lived there for 25 years, hadn't seen before. The guide was knowledgeable and it was relaxing not to have to drive around and try to find our way to these different sites on our own.
