A great tour and a great guide ! - This is a must do tour. Vick is a great guide and you'll love the tour. He communicated clearly before the tour and took care of all the logistics (transport to San Juan, visiting, etc). The tour starts in San Pedro, but it happens in San Juan. You'll get a chance to learn about the history of coffee in Guatemala, how it is grown, visit a farm, see it, touch it and pick it. On top of a great tour in itself the action happens in San Juan .. a beautiful place !!

Best way to spend a day at Lake Atitlan! - We could not have had a better day with Vick exploring the coffee fields and city of San Juan at Atitlan! Vick was an extraordinary guide and truly went above and beyond giving us recommendations and showing us the Mayan coffee and chocolate production and artisanal work as well. I highly recommend tours with Vick for anyone visiting Lake Atitlan!!

Favorite thing we’ve done in Guatemala so far - We booked a tour last-minute with Vick and it turned out to be the best decision we’ve made our entire time in Guatemala. Vick was a FABULOUS tour guide. He picked us up at the main dock in San Marcos, where we took a lancha to San Juan to begin the coffee tour. It was about a 25 min walk from the San Juan dock to the coffee cooperative. Vick walked us through all the stages of coffee production, from growing the baby plants to harvesting, grinding and roasting the beans. We got to harvest the coffee cherries ourselves, try them, and try some coffee homegrown in San Juan! The tour could have ended there, but we were interested in buying some chocolate, textiles and masks, so Vick walked us to his recommended shops, where artists make high-quality goods at fair (and so affordable!) prices. We could have spent all day exploring the art studios and weaving cooperatives. We are so grateful to Vick for sharing so much of his knowledge with us! It was the highlight of our trip to Guatemala. I cannot recommend this tour enough!!!

Fantastic Coffee & Culture Tour with Evelia - We had an amazing experience with our guide, Evelia, in San Pedro and San Juan. She took us through the local coffee plantations and explained the entire production process in great detail. We even got hands-on and had the chance to pick coffee cherries ourselves and press the beans out of the fruit—a truly unique and fun experience! Evelia is a proud resident of San Juan and an excellent English-speaking guide. She is incredibly passionate about what she does, which made the tour both insightful and enjoyable. This tour is not just about coffee—it’s also a great opportunity to ask questions about life as a local in Guatemala. Evelia is open, honest, and eager to share her knowledge. A few tips: • The tour starts in San Pedro and ends in San Juan, so it’s best to avoid buying a round-trip lancha ticket. Instead, purchase separate one-way tickets. • Bring sunscreen, as parts of the walk through the plantations are in the sun, especially on warm days. We highly recommend booking with Tours With Vick! Their communication via WhatsApp was fast and efficient, and their prices were fair. The short tuk-tuk ride between the two villages was also a fun addition to the experience. Overall, a fantastic tour that we’d recommend to anyone visiting Lake Atitlán!

What didn’t we do? - Victor was a great tour guide - very knowledgeable. A great 4 hours walking around San Juan from the coffee plantation to a honey bee farm and several other stops (textiles, art gallery, and chocolate factory). Very informative and well worth it.

A must do experience when in Lake Atitlan - This tour was so fun and informative. Vick is incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we got the full experience. It was such a joy to learn about the amount of work and dedication that goes into producing such a loved beverage. Vick is an amazing guide. If you have the chance to join any of his tours, you certainly should. It was lovely to learn about the region from him.

Super chill day - We had such a fun and relaxed day with Vic as our guide! From the moment he picked us up at the hotel, we felt welcomed—he was super friendly and spoke excellent English. Our first stop was a coffee farm, where we got to learn about the process of growing and harvesting coffee. We also had a chance to order coffee, the kids had iced chocolate. It was delicious! Next, we visited a place that taught us all about chocolate making, which was a fun and educational experience. Vic was great at adapting the itinerary to suit us, especially since we'd already visited some of the originally planned stops. He was really thoughtful and flexible, making sure we got the most out of our day. What made this day even more special was how chill and laid-back it felt. No rushing around or overwhelming schedules—just enjoying each stop at our own pace. My kids said it was their favorite day of the trip. We all had a blast, and I would highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to enjoy a relaxed, yet informative, day out!

From bean to espresso - It was a fun and varied tour. Vick has a lot of knowledge and could answer all our questions smoothly. We got a bit smarter and enjoyed the coffee at the end! You can appreciate it even more if you know what work has gone before;) Recommended!

Amazing learning opportunity! - Vick was super great in giving a super informative and fun tour of San Juan and the entire coffee process! He went in depth from Guatemalas history as well as the coffee process from planting to roasting. We especially loved learning about the growing process and how the local culture plays a role in every step.

Great activity in San Juan - The guide knows a lot about the coffee process and it is nice to walk among the locals on the coffee fields. It is a standard tour with little interaction. After the time we tasted a cup of coffee, it would be nice if this would be a mini tasting with eg coffee pairings
