Embark on an off-beaten path adventure in Puerto Rico’s Condado Rainforest Caves & Hidden Waterfall. Hike through rivers, explore underground caves, and swim in natural pools.
- Charco Azul - We will meet with other groups at “Ultimo Trolley Beach” (GPS: Park Boulevard, San Juan), parking in front of the beach. We’ll drive for about an hour to Charco Azul in Vega Baja, while enjoying the scenic Northern Karst system of Puerto Rico along the way.
When we arrive, we’ll get ready and walk for about 10 minutes until we reach the entrance to Cueva Arenales. At this site, we’ll explore two caves located in a limestone rainforest, view petroglyphs from our native ancestors, local flora and fauna, and swim in underground rivers for an unforgettable experience. It’s important to note that good physical mobility is necessary to fully enjoy this experience.
After exploring the Arenales Caves, we’ll walk to our next spot Charco Azul where you’ll have the opportunity to relax and swim through this cavern and its pool. To finish we jump into the water to feel the adventure! (Cliffjumps are optional) It’s always recommended to wear closed-toe shoes for better safety. we’ll walk back to the van where you can change out of your wet clothes, and then we’ll drive back to Condado to drop you off at the same place where we met.
