- Las Paylas - Las Paylas is a local hidden gem of natural water slides on the outskirts of El Yunque with cascading waterfalls from the Mameyes River, sculpted natural pools, and a cave.
Perfect for thrill-seekers as well as those who want to enjoy the ambiance from afar. Experience cliff diving into natural pools or simply unwind by the water’s edge.
- Angelito Trail - Explore the El Angelito Trail, a picturesque route in the El Yunque Rainforest. Descending through Tabonuco trees in the lower montane forest, the trail leads to the federally designated “Wild and Scenic River,” Río Mameyes. The sound of rushing water guides you to Las Damas Pool and other inviting swimming spots. Ideal for families and school groups, this trail offers an accessible adventure. Despite damage post-Hurricane Maria, restoration efforts, including a new pedestrian bridge funded by the National Forest Foundation and Wyndham Rio Mar Grand Resort, ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, allowing visitors to reconnect with nature and Puerto Rico’s ecological wonders.
- Playa Luquillo - Kick back the rest of the afternoon with a refreshment sunbathing at the beach or dive into more adventure by renting out a jetski. Watch the sunset and reflect on your most memorable day in paradise.
- Kioskos de Luquillo - Next, we embark on a culinary adventure at Los Kioskos de Luquillo. This vibrant strip of beachfront stalls immerses you in Puerto Rico’s diverse gastronomy. Each kiosk presents a unique flavor, from sizzling meats to traditional mofongo and refreshing tropical cocktails. Enjoy your meal with an ambiance full of live music, the warmth of locals, and Puerto Rican culture.
