- Puerto Rico - First, before a good hike, we will make a “quick stop” and our guide will lead the way, tracing the “footsteps” of a traditional coffee-producing Puerto Rican family. After learning about Puerto Rican coffee, you have the option to sample delicious coffee in your form of preference: latte, cappuccino, macchiato or black, etc(for purchase - not included in the price). Don’t forget to take home a nice bag of authentic Puerto Rican coffee at an affordable price! It will be also a “baño”, an artisan “café” and a quick snack/breakfast stop.
- Puerto Rico - On this Into The Mountains Hiking Adventure, we will venture into the Door of the Mountain Range of Puerto Rico, enjoying a beautiful panoramic view through the countryside before reaching our exclusive nature reserve.
This breathtaking off-the-beaten-path hike, suitable for physically fit people and seasoned hikers alike (LEVEL: MODERATE TO CHALLENGING, STEEP HIKING, HAVE GOOD BALANCE AND RIVER TREKKING SKILLS) will lead us through a well-established path. Emotions come alive as we immerse ourselves into the subtropical forest and venture our way to meet an old centenary native tree at the top of the mountain, more than 300 years old. After that, we will continue our journey, visiting beautiful and unique waterfalls, one of which is 150 feet tall. Before reaching the trail’s end, we will stop in a natural pond surrounded by a lush landscape where we will serve Freshly Cut Tropical Fruits. You will get to sit down and unwind in a Private Nature Reserve.

- The tour provides an opportunity to discover some of the most beautiful hidden waterfalls in Puerto Rico, one of which stands at a majestic 150 feet.
- The tour allows for a refreshing dip in a natural pool accompanied by freshly harvested fruits.
- It also offers the chance to savour typical Puerto Rican countryside cuisine (provided at a nominal cost – not included in the tour price) while enjoying a stunning view of the Central Mountain Range in Puerto Rico.

- Good traction shoes, Examples: Keen, Five Ten, La Sportiva. If you don’t have any of these options Good Sneakers (Nike, Reebok, Asics, Addidas, etc.)
- Change of clothes and a towel. Camera, Small Backpack and Waterproof Camera (if possible).
- Wear bathing suit or bring along. in case you want to dive in one the natural ponds.
- Have good endurance, balance and coordination. Hiking Level (Off The Beaten Path) - Moderate to Challenging with some steep hiking and river trekking sections - Suitable for all Physically Fit People. (((Please be advised, most participants, that doesn’t fall into this category, usually cannot keep up the required pace, cope with the sustained hiking on steep terrain, and regularly do not complete the adventure. This usually slows everyone down and can result in a safety hazard.)))
- If concern by mosquitos, it is recommended you wear and extra layer under your shirt and pants. Example: long sleeve dry fit tee and compression cool dry sports tights pants base layer. Another option would be Hiking Pants or Bug Repellent
- Pick up at 7:00 am return at 4:00 to 5:00 pm approximately (subject to the number of participants on the tour, weather, traffic and participants’ skill level)
- Sleep and eat well so you can be sharp for a Good Hiking/Trekking Day. (Disclaimer: if by any reason we think you’re a not well rested and this could compromise the safety of the tour you might no be allowed to participate in the adventure)
- Please be advised, We required a minimum of 3 to 4 participants to make this tour happen.
- Age Limit: 18 to 60 yrs old. Please keep in mind this is a real off the beaten path hiking tour.
- Our hiking tours are always small group adventures, typically 4-10people per trip. Join a personalized trekking vacation that prioritizes quality of experience above all else.

An absolute must do in PR - To start, Andres was one of the best tour guides we could ask for. Extremely friendly, informative, and interactive. He went above and beyond to make sure the group was friendly with one another.
The coffee shop included a more interactive tour than I was expecting - getting to see the roasting process and buy some whole beans. Coffee and breakfast was the perfect start to the morning.
The hike itself was amazing. Super private and visually stunning. The hike was definitely a moderate difficulty but wasn’t too bad with the right shoes and hydration. Suggestion - bring a Gatorade because it’s hot. Our hike lasted approximately 4 hours with plenty of stops and photos. The views and waterfalls are seriously out of a nature magazine, ridiculously beautiful.
Lunch was accommodating for some dietary restrictions, and the finishing touch on an awesome adventure
Do not hesitate for this trip, I’ve been on a lot of excursions in the area and this by far was the best overall experience. Andres made a lot of that possible with his personality and willingness to audible if anything happened during the tour.

Above 5 Stars!!! - A truly exceptional and authentic Puerto Rice adventurous tour! - Above 5 stars. Our family has been on a lot of tours in many countries and of course some are better than others and some truly meet the standard of 5 stars, but what make this one stand out even more is that we can’t think of anything we would even recommend they consider changing about the tour. It is truly outstanding from beginning to end with a lot of thought well thought out features and fine tuning to the itenerary. The owner of the company is also the chief tour guide and is very personally involved in making sure every customer is well taken care of. He has invested a substantial amount of his personal time in setting up the tour and even developing the trails themselves. He has an outstanding personality, but more so is authentically interested in getting to know each of his clients from the very start and catering certain aspects of the tour to the desires, abilities, and interests of the group. He is so passionate about teaching clients about the culture and has really put together a spectacular tour that is unlike the regular tour track. If you, your significant other, your company outing, or family get together are looking for an tour that teaches the history, the culture, the beauty of the country in a truly exhilarating manner that will cause powerful memories and shared joy, then this is definitely the one. Not only is is far worth the cost, it offers so much more details and extras than the larger tour companies. Plus it literally takes you off the beaten path that other tour guides aren’t even aware of. This professional guide has spent his life exploring, learning, and teaching about the rain forest area, and he also integrates part of the communities, such as a fascinating historically prominent coffee producer and then later takes you to a resturant for lunch that the locals obviously rave about at such a fair price and gives each guest a abundant variety of dishes to try so you will really feel immersed with the people, their customs, and their land. I can’t more highly recommend a tour that has made such an incredible impact on our children as well as adults in our group. I put this tour as a top must for Puerto Rico, but also put it up against top tours in Greece, Germany, France, Switzerland, Thailand, Venice, etc. The amazing things you get to see and do on this tour sells itself and make it remarkably unique in of itself. But, you will be also be very pleased with the various parts of the hike and explorations that keep building higher and higher in latitude and exuberance both literally and figuratively along the trails. Plus the treats along the way are also a huge “splash”! (No spoilers, just puns you will more fully understand once you experience it). Trust me, you don’t want to miss this and will be very thankful that you were blessed with this opportunity, and Andre’ will work even harder until he is convinced you are elated!!

A Hike to remember - Our guide was amazing the entire day was amazing !! The scenery was beautiful very peaceful and I also enjoyed the food from the coffee shop and restaurant we were able to visit for breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend this experience.

Amazing! - This was the best experience my husband and I had in Puerto Rico. Andre was amazing. He was so personable and really spent the time getting to know each and every person on the tour. He caters the tour and the pace of it based on the group. He was so passionate about the land, and the flowers that we became incredibly passionate about it as well! We would highly recommend this tour for anyone who likes hiking and seeing some of the most beautiful sights in Puerto Rico!

Up, up, and a little higher….. - Andrés, what an amazing day. It was challenging but I felt safe and encouraged throughout the entire hike. This tour was what dreams are made of. The beauty of the island is priceless. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge and love for Puerto Rico.
Your communication leading to the scheduled date was very efficient and detailed. The designated meet up spot was easy, morning coffee and chat that led to epic hike, stunning waterfalls, refreshing dips and spectacular views was well planned and executed. The image of us having our refreshing snack with the beautiful backdrop is embedded in my brain….Gracias!! 🇵🇷 I highly recommend this tour.

The Risk is Worth the Reward - This could easily be described as a once in a lifetime opportunity for many individuals! It is also more suited for those risk tolerant and not averse to the risks requiring signing of a waiver. Dont let all the treats before and during the hike distract you from making a careful decision to do this. Your cardio workouts will come in handy but the risky part is just the climbing on rocks and through some literal unbeaten paths off of cliffs. However, if you are up for the challenge, Andre has taken great care in developing a creative experience that combines a full day of cultural immersion and adventure. Wear good hiking shoes, don't come hungover, and be a good person to the host and others in your group. Work as a team encourage each other, reserve your judgement on others abilities and it will be a beautiful day. Also for those that can't swim, not strong swimmers or just don't like to swim you can still do this and enjoy it. Last tip if the meeting spot is the Super Max walk across the parking lot to the street in front of the store.

Best Tour on the Island! - The hiking on this trip was challenging but it was the most fun tour I have ever been on. The hike was incredible, as a person who likes outdoor activities like rock climbing and swimming. It was entirely secluded from people outside of our small group. The coffee and food on this tour alone made it worth the trip. Just do it!

Great hiking, fun tour guide, & great coffee! - Definitely a hidden gem of a tour! I HIGHLY recommend booking this if you love coffee and hiking. André is an amazing tour guide and also gave great recommendations for food and coffee in San Juan. Truly an amazing experience!! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in San Juan.

Amazing waterfalls, hike, coffee & food! - This was one of the BEST tours I have been on in any of my travels! Andre is an amazing host! He took the time to get to know each guest and was super friendly throughout the whole experience. Although the weather in PR had been shaky the past few days, he was honest about what we could expect and updated us about any changes - answering questions quickly and efficiently. The tour itself was a lot of fun! It was a small group which I appreciated, it gave us all time to really enjoy the experience. Everyone was super friendly as well! The path that Andre takes you on gives you a true rainforest experience. I appreciated the level of work that he has clearly put into making it the best. The tour was challenging at times but nothing that was too difficult. There is plenty of time to ask questions and go as slow as you need to. Another aspect that I appreciated was the time given to take photos and relax in all the waterfalls (AMAZING views btw!!). Nothing felt rushed at all. The morning coffee stop and afternoon lunch stop made this tour a 10/10 experience. It made it even more personalized and let’s you embrace even more of the Puerto Rican culture - providing you with authentic and delicious experiences.
Overall I definitely recommend this tour to everyone. Andre is very accommodating, quick to answer questions, and provides a once-in-a-lifetime AUTHENTIC PUERTO RICAN experience!
