Great experience with a knowledgeable historian - Our walking tour with Dr. José Morales was worth every penny. His knowledge and passion about Puerto Rico made this a memorable experience. We covered many notable spots and he could provide in-depth answers to all of our followup questions.

Very interesting - We were the only ones on this tour. Jose was excellent and a font of information. We saw so much of San Juan and a walking tour is the way to see the place.

A Superb Historical Tour - We discovered this tour and signed up because we were looking for a tour focusing on history and Jose hit the mark! A retired professor, Jose took the 4 of us (we had a personal tour) around Old San Juan explaining the history of the island and the area. This was a very educational experience - which may not be for everyone. But if you are looking for an intelligent and knowledgeable tour guide who can explain how this area was discovered and all the different people who have lived here - which brings the food, music, and sights to life - then this is a perfect tour for you. Jose answered every question we had and took his time helping us see the rich history in this beautiful city. It is a walking tour - wear your good walking shoes - though Jose had carefully created an itinerary that includes a great deal of shade, some spots to sit, and bathroom breaks. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hour tour and highly recommend Jose for anyone who loves delving into the history of a city.

Learn the history of San Juan and Puerto Rico - Dr Morales was very knowledgeable about the history of Puerto Rico. He was also extremely considerate about taking routes that were less taxing for older clients and the midafternoon sun. We learned a lot and highly recommend this tour for those who want to understand the history and prominent civic and spiritual leaders who played significant parts in the country’s development.

The professor knew his stuff! - Tour guide was very knowledgeable and we appreciated that he didn't cancel due to the festival that day. He was even able to get us in a convent to see their extensive nativity display

Expert tour of historical sights with stories and scenic views - We chose this tour by historian Jose Morales and it met and exceeded our expectations. Jose increased our knowledge of the history and culture of Puerto Rico and San Juan. He is also a very attentive and considerate person. Impressive walking tour with an added surprise - Dr. Morales was very knowledgeable about Puerto Rican history and the walking tour greatly enhanced our understanding of the subject matter. Perhaps even more impressive was the child (Ari?) who was in the walking tour with his Father. This young man was impressive with his knowledge of Puerto Rican history which led to some great discussions between him & Dr. Morales at the various locations along the tour route. What a treat! What an exceptional child!

Excellent tour/ all the great landmarks by a historian - This tour is a must do! My teenaged children identified that this tour was the best part of our trip. Jose was the epitome of knowledge regarding this city! He is highly educated and passionate about history and it showed. We cannot express our gratitude enough. We were able to talk to others about our tour of Old San Juan during the rest of the week and they were impressed by our knowledge. The length of the tour was paced perfectly, we had room to take plenty of photos and rested when we needed to. I would give ten stars if I could. Book with Jose, you will not be disappointed!!

Courteous & Knowledgeable Guide - Dr Morales is very knowledgeable, engaging and courteous. I learned so much — history, culture, language — from his tour! He is well travelled himself and so, can appreciate the experience of a visitor. I liked supporting his small business and would like to take another tour with him, in the future. Great with kids, too.
