Amazing cave tour - We had an amazing time exploring the cueva ventana and the coastal caves in Arecibo. Javier and his wife are so friendly, so knowledgeable, and so passionate about the history and culture of PR that it made the tour the best of our trip. We can’t wait to go back and book another tour with Sojourn.

Off the Beach and into the Mountains of Puerto Rico - Had a great trip with Javier. Was a personalized adventure for 2. Picked up on time, travelled in comfort, able to ask questions about the day trip, archeology and Puerto Rico in general. Cueva Ventana and Cueva del Indio each unique and scenic in their own way. Took us off the beaten path around each of the sights and got a better glimpse of surrounding geological areas. Would highly recommend if you like caves, geology, archeology, anthropology, hiking, getting away from the beach.

Best tour guide ever! - Javier is a qenuine person and so likable. His knowledge about PR history and ecosystem was exactly what we needed. What a cool guy to take us to a local taco joint on the way back to the resort. We love him to peices and suggest him for anything PR. Also, he was suggested through AAA which was a plus. Book Javier today!!!

Amazing! - This tour was amazing and customized for our group thru the rainforest, waterfall and window cave. It was educational and fun! Javi is knowledgeable, a great driver in the Q7, friendly and more than accommodating. He knows his fascinatingly beautiful island, it’s people, history and culture and is a proud Taino. Call Sojourn ... you’ll be back for more after your first tour ... I did! Enjoy!

Exploring, Learning & Traveling In-Style! - My husband and I had a wonderful time on our private half-day trip to Cueva Ventana and Cueva del Indio with Puerto Rican archaeologist, Javi. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We rode around the island in his luxe and comfortable Audi SUV. He pointed out things to us during our visit to the caves that we otherwise would have not even noticed had we chosen to visit the caves on our own, without a guide. Before visiting the last cave, Javi drove us to a nice, typical Puerto Rican restaurant for lunch—we had gorgeous views overlooking the beautiful ocean. HIGHLY recommend Sojourn PR to others wishing for a relaxing, educational, and once-in-a-lifetime experience…we will definitely use this company again on our next visit to Puerto Rico, la isla del encanto! ***EXTRA TIP: If you’re researching different guides and having a tough time choosing between them, go with Sojourn PR! When we arrived to Cueva Ventana, I noticed other guides dropped-off their passengers and then picked them up after the Cueva Ventana tour was complete. Cueva Ventana does have a tour guide that leads you through the caves and gives you some info during the tour. Javi from Sojourn PR joined us on the tour, knew when to give us our space, but also gladly answered any and all questions that we had as we explored the caves. Thank you for going above and beyond during our excursion, Javi! :)

great tour of the karst area - Francisco Javier was a wonderful guide during our afternoon trip to Cueva Ventana & Cueva del Indio. He was able to provide extra tidbits of information about each site & show us petroglyphs as well. It is amazing that these petroglyphs have survived over time. The ocean views by the Cueva del Indio were breathtaking as well

Best Private Tour, Period. - This was an incredible day, filled with lots of fantastic information and insights from our phenomenal guide, Fransisco Javier. You never quite realize how much you're missing out on archeological tours, unless you have a guide there with you, filling in the sometimes huge void the venue's guide leaves during their tour. The car ride was safe and fantastic. It's so difficult to find people as passionate as Fransisco Javier in the tourism industry. I'm telling you right now, you'd be doing yourself a GREAT service by booking a tour with him. We had an awesome time!

Great day out - An absolutely fantastic activity and would definitely recommend. In a smallish group you are bused to the other side of the island for this activity. If going on a cruise, it seems like they try and get you there before it opens, to avoid the queues. Led by a guide you are taken through rain forest, through caves to the window. The terrain and the walk could prove too much if you aren’t used to exercise. All that side, it is a fantastic experience, not only do you get to see the window, you get to navigate through caves with bats and learn about their origination. A bit of a rush if you are on a half day stop in Miami, so definitely book through your cruise company.

Horrible communication led to no tour - Called and he told us to text him email so he could send us confirmation and payment info. A few days passed and nothing. Texted multiple times over a few days and nothing. Called again the day before the tour and was told he had already booked someone in our slot that we reserved over the phone with him a few days prior. Also, based on the caves he was going to take us to, we discovered they were easy to find on our own for FREE.
