Your expert tour guide is going to take you to what we named «the hidden treasure» site. It is the Diego Rivera Studio in the ancient city where he restored the most beautiful pre-hispanic murals and fallen in love with cochinilla paint technique.
Another surprise! For lunch, 10 minutes away from the pyramids we are going to experience in Erica’s middle class house delicious local food so as you uncover the town’s identity through its cuisine as well. A rare feature of this activity is a visit to a little-known modern art studio in the archaeological site where prominent artists Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo spent much time researching pre-Hispanic muralism techniques, including the use of cochinilla colors.
