10/10 recommend! - This was such a great experience.
#1: pick up was smooth and easy.
#2: balloon set up felt surreal. So many balloons being inflated or starting take off from the surrounding area. Very photogenic
#3 they take professional pics and a a drone video of you that you can choose to purchase at the end. We bought the usb hoping there’s a few we like of ourselves.
#4 the balloon ride was serene. You do feel like you’re floating. Not scary at all.
#5 didn’t have to worry about breakfast or coffee. It is provided.
It was wonderful not to have transportation to and from the pyramids from the city.
We also stopped at an artisan shop near the pyramid entrance where I purchased some authentic silver jewelry and obsidian goods. They gave us a presentation on the history/use of the agave plant and local minerals by the indigenous peoples of the area
We did opt to have a tour guide when we got to the pyramids for 2000 pesos divided by the number of us (5). Which was well worth it. There isn’t information posted about Teotihuacán so having the guide was ideal.
The inclusiveness makes it very worth the price!

A must-do for everyone! - This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I'm not going to leave long description of the splendid views, just what I wish I'd known in advance:
a) Even if you (I) don't speak a word of Spanish, the people are SO great! They will be patient and will make you feel comfortable - even if they don't speak a word of English! don't be afraid!
b) It's not cold up there: the flames are so strong that it's warm and cozy in the basket - but make sure to have a jacket for when you land as the mornings are chilly, and it's cooler on the ground than in the sky;
c) Don't be afraid of the landing - the pilots are professional, and the crew on the ground make sure to take good care of the smooth landing;
d) if you take the tour to the pyramids with them, beware that the prices in the souvenir store you stop by on the way are at least double those you will be at Teotihuacan or a liquor store (for tequila). However, the history lesson they give you is worth paying extra, if you can.
e) Do try pulque :-) And Tequila
f) If you take a package with transportation and visiting the Pyramids - you will be back to Mexico no sooner than 2:30-3:00 PM. Plan accordingly
g) Pilot Oscar is the best!

Phenomenal!!! Truly exhilarating and relaxing!! FANTASTIC!! Muchas muchas gracias!! - My wife and 6 year old daughter and I were picked up from our hotel at 545am and we were driven shuttle with 7 others to the Sky Ballooning site in Teotihuacan. Everything was superbly organized and planned. We checked in and were served coffee and croissants/donuts/muffins as the magnificent balloons were filled. Clean bathrooms. Oscar (our pilot, 10 persons per balloon) gave my daughter a beautiful paper balloon which lifted off into the air after we lit the base on fire (intentionally). We took off at around 645am and the sunrise and airscapes were simply marvelous. Oscar was a terrific pilot. He opened a bottle of sparkling when we were high above! Our 6 year old loved ithe ballooning and so did we!!!!! After ballooning for a very comfortable hour or so we had a gentle landing and took some more pics-this time inside the balloon. Just VOW!! We then all went for a nice hot breakfast buffet and then spent two hours at the pyramids. We returned to the the hotel at 2pm-exhuasted but with a sense of unparalleled contentment. Bravo Sky balloons!! Magnifico!!!!
Warm people, beautiful country!

Absolutely spectacular! - This sunrise 🌅 balloon ride over Teotihuacan is magical and unforgettable! I enjoyed it so much the first day, I booked again and took in another breathtaking sunrise! Sky balloons is an excellent company, very professional and their customer service is excellent! They will pick you up and return you to your hotel. When you arrive at the balloon field you are welcomed with hot coffee and a sweet roll while waiting for the balloons to inflate. Upon check in, you are assigned a pilot and balloon. When the balloon is almost ready the pilot will escort you to the balloon and get you settled into the basket. Lift off is thrilling! The beauty was amazing with the other balloons in the air!
Landing is another fun event! Finding a spot to land is tricky, but these expert pilots avoid the trees and power lines and the fields of Nopales to land you safely! This is definitely a bucket list item checked off!

Unforgettable Sunrise Balloon Ride! - I'll admit, we had a unique experience - our pilot Oscar told us the cloud formations happen like that 3-4 times per year. Once we climbed above the clouds to see the sunrise, our minds were blown. Our pilot was professional and friendly and we all felt safe. I was really impressed!

Great experience and customer care - The experience was fantastic but it’s the customer service that’s prompted me to write a review. We had problems paying through the website (we were booking from the U.K.) and Evelin, the customer service operator, was really helpful in sorting them out. The flight itself was wonderful. Then on the trip back my husband dropped his credit card in the van and within minutes we were contacted to tell us that they’d bring it back to our hotel the next day. Great service on top of an unforgettable day.

Spectacular view of the pyramids in Teotihuacan, Mexico by Hot Air Balloon and our pilot Joel. - This was an unforgettable and amazing event. The night prior we were contacted in both English and Spanish to ensure we understood where and when to meet. The bus arrived to pick us up exactly as planned. The ride to the site was uneventful. The bus was clean and everything was in working order. Upon arrival we were ushered into a clean organized and friendly environment. Morning coffee and cakes were offered. What a delightful surprise. Toilets were clean! Take off and landing were the smoothest I have ever had on a Hot Air Balloon ride, Thank you Joel! We had bubbly wine in the sky, picked leaves from a tree, that was impressive and then returned and were bused to a local restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast we given a tour of the site and then taken to the same pyramids we had seen from the air. I really appreciate when you get what you paid for and it comes with efficiency, cleanliness and hospitality. All the staff made sure everyone was comfortable, cared for and informed. This company knows how to do it right!

Up up and Away - In order to reach the ballon embarkation port we left our hotel at 5am on an extremely cold and very frosty morning. This had taken everyone by surprise and the local population were bundled up in what looked like every item of their clothing. We Brits are “hard” and used to the cold so our guide was amazed we only had light jackets on. The waiting room is fairly limited with black coffee and cakes available. We had to wait here for about an hour before the various balloons were inflated. Our son had treated us to this so I am unsure whether one paid more to be just two in a balloon. We shared with another couple which was fine. Getting into the basket was a problem for me as I have bad hips, but bless them, they ran off and found a set of steps for me to make it easier.
It’s a lovely sensation flying over Teotihuacan and one gets a really good view of the whole site. It was ‘t quite as peaceful as I had thought as the pilot needs to keep igniting the burners but that at least kept us nice and warm. My feet were the only part of me that were cold. Landing was interesting as we scraped over the tops of prickly pear plants but the basket reached terra firma beautifully. And now for me the bother of getting out of the basket. Do you know what, they even tipped the basket on one side so I could crawl out, not elegant but extremely kind of the guys. The four of us then shared a bottle of champagne whilst the balloon was packed up and then we were driven back to the base. Usually they take a photo of the group before you take off but for some reason the camera didn’t work so no photo for us but we had plenty of our own photos and memories to take away with us.
