The trip was super interesting and unconventional, we started by using public transport to go from the city center to a bus hub and then took an overland bus to go straight to the ruins - including some introduction to the surrounding area and vendors / musicians live on the bus :D. Arriving at Teotihuacan it definitely pays to have a knowledgeable guide and I learned a whole lot about the history and culture of the place, including opportunities to look at some in-depth archeology in the attached museum. Notably, we also visited a local shop with produce and the obsidian crafts that played a role in the history of this area.
