A trip that cannot miss - Albert was our tour guide. He gave us a lot of information about the site. He told us the history how the site was donated to the Mexican government, the plants, source of material of different layer of the pyramid, the color of different layers. He also explained how the pyramid used to measured the time in each period. He provided professional knowledge based on his expertise.

Fantastic tour with a knowledgeable guide - Wonderful experience seeing the archeological site near San miguel de allende. Albert was a great guide, lots of stories and answered all of our groups questions. The hike to the site was beautiful and the site itself is amazing. We were able to climb up the pyramid. We had lunch after that was cooked right on site. A must do for sure!

A must do! - Absolutely incredible tour. We loved it everything about it. Albert was a wealth of knowledge and told us everything we needed to know about the site. If you’ve got some time to spare in your SDMA agenda, would definitely advise taking this tour!

Albert went the extra miles for me!! - Accidentally, I left my purse in the locker at the visitor center. Albert went out of his way to help me get my purse back. That included phone contact and an extra drive up and back to the Canada. I am most grateful for his help. He is knowledgeable and honest and kind.

Amazing! - Well-paced, information packed excursion. Albert is an actual archeologist that participated in the original research of this find. His deep knowledge of the site but also ancient indigenous cultures and the way in he shares it during the tour were amazing.

Impressive from start to finish! - Of all the things we did in SMA, this tour was by far the most unique and educational experience. Albert is engaging, funny, and THE MOST knowledgable guide - not only about the site but about myth and culture. I want to take this tour 5 more times just to soak it all in. The site is gorgeous and the history is fascinating. Plus, you get some exercise and a totally different slice of this part of MEX. And, there are no vendors and very few other tourists... for now. Don't miss it!

Pyramid Tour - Had a great time and enjoyed the history. It was raining and damp, but we had an amazing time. Hopefully, we can visit again after more excavation has been done. The guide spoke spanish and because my spanish is limited I asked her to speak slowly and I'll be able to follow her.

Marvelous Pyramid - Albert was extremely knowledgeable and clever! Lots of stories 🙂. Beautiful in October, green and flowers. But participants should know it’s a hilly cobblestone terrain. One mile in and one mile out.

Canceled on us - We had really been looking forward to this tour and booked and paid for a Tuesday. Not long after, we received a WhatsApp message that they were not available that day (even though it was offered on the calendar). They asked if we could go later in the week but we were already back in the US. We did get our full refund in a week's time. Hopefully, we can plan this again in the future.

Guide was a no-show - We are asked “What were the most memorable parts of your experience?” Well we did not have an “experience” as our guide never showed up at the pick-up location. We had wasted an Uber trip and made numerous attempts to reach our tour operator without a response. We finally heard from him 2.5 hours later - by then we moved on to something else. Upon reading reviews on other sites, this tends to be a trend with Albert Coffee when he does not have enough people sign up for his tours. Save money and headaches - there are other tour operators that are actually reliable and just as knowledgeable of the site. This tour was supposed to be one of the highlights of our trip to SMA, but turned out to be one big disappointment. Viator should remove him from their offerings so this does happen to other vacationers.
