Mexican countryside - A wonderful experience. We visited two wineries. One was immaculate and beautiful as if you were in the rolling hills of Italy. We had great pairing and a wonderful host Ever. The other was a more rustic Mexican wine, which had so much charm and so very different from the first one. Both were unique and an excellent experience.

Great Chance to Try New Wines - Great day learning about Mexican varietals and wines that are not available in other countries. The tasting and food pairing experience at La Santisima Trinidad was exceptional and Eber was extremely knowledgeable.

Amazing covid holiday! - Diego is just so amazing and makes you feel like family. He’s so extremely knowledgeable of the areas and clearly very passionate. He takes covid precautions , masked up while driving and all activities. They are doing things much better in San Miguel than anywhere in USA. Temps taken, nearly everywhere, hand sanitizer is required, mask up everywhere. We even rode horses in a rural area, truly amazing, but temps taken, and sprayed with a chlorine mixture to kill any potential covid, and keep the horses safe. Honestly, felt safer there than most places in USA in regards to covid. Also very safe in general. He also arranged for covid swabs and brought the paperwork for us for reentry into USA. Super safe and easy. We loved the vineyards, the wines are excellent and very beautiful places. Enjoy your holiday and be sure to only book with diego and catrina tours!

From sophisticated to down to earth - Starting with a well-funded vineyard, we got excellent information on the process of winemaking, as well as the new economics of the wine industry, including lavender and olive oil production. And some really excellent wines and cheeses! The on-site oenologist was highly knowledgeable and quite personable. The second stop was a bio-dynamic vineyard and wine producer who was passionate about the wines and the process. We were lead by our guide Alejandro, who gave us much information about the local culture and region. Unlike the California experience, we never felt pressured to buy (although we did!) and we never felt rushed. Great tour!

Excellent tour, highly recommended - a little slow but this is Mexico :0) - My wife and I were intrigued by Mexican wine and decided to take this tour to learn more about it. Catrina tours communication was excellent, I booked my trip through TripAdvisor and received a prompt confirmation. We were picked up from our hotel in a late model large SUV. Our tour guide (Juliette) spoke fluent English and had an amazing amount of knowledge around wine having spent 7 years in France studying wine tourism and completing an internship at a Bordeaux winery. We visited two wineries and got the grand tour for each with an in-depth explanation on how they made their wine. As Australia’s we found it to be a little slow (2 winery visits, tasted 6 wines over a 6 hr period). Speaking with our tour guide it appears that this is a Mexican cultural twist whereby they take things a lot slower and prefer to thoroughly understand the why behind the what (which was fine by us - we are in different country happy to experience the local way). As a comparison in Oz we would probably visit 4 - 6 wineries in the same time frame. Overall I would thoroughly recommend this tour, we learnt a lot about Mexican wines and the wineries we visited. We were also pleasantly surprised with the quality of wines for such a young grape region (I wont spoil the history in this review). It’s a must do if you are passionate about wine and can spare the time.

Great last night - The Wineries are just beautiful. I do wish we had been offered a pairing at both locations. We ended up ordering a cheese board at dos buhos anyway. It was just a lovely day.

Lovely half-day private wine tour - My mom and I enjoyed 2 wine tastings with cheese pairings with Catrina tours' Alejandro and a separate driver, Brandon. The wineries were gorgeous and our guides at each were extremely knowledgable, friendly and served us awesome wines. We were gone from about 1030-1430. Given the length of tour, winery stops (2) and tipping of our guides at each winery as well as tour guide and driver, I felt this tour was a bit over-priced. However, we did enjoy our time at both places and purchased wine at each spot.

Too expensive for the experience - We were charged 300 USD to visit two wineries. The San Lucas winery was ok but too short. The second winery did not give us any food, the wine was not good and the visit was pretty short as well.
