As authentic an experience as you can get! - What an awesome time! We started by shopping locally for all the ingredients. Jeronimo did an outstanding job explaining each and every item, what makes each unique and how to use each in cooking. Then we all went to his home where he showed us all how to prepare fresh salsas, tortillas, guacamole, ceviche and fresh mahi-mahi and shrimp which is what the class decided we wanted. You will learn so much more than just cooking - he opens up his home and his heart and his love for food and country is infectious. Highly recommend.

A Very Useful Cooking School Experience - This excursion exceeded our expectations. Jeronimo met us on time at the designated meeting spot. At the market, we gathered essentials for the meal we were to prepare. We learned a lot of characteristics of the ingredients that would be used to prepare the meal. Once we got to the home kitchen for cooking, met Angie - the assistant. It was an authentic Mexican environment. We helped prepare certain aspects of the meal and partook in eating the meal. Adjustments were made for preferences on spiciness. Any questions we had were answered. It was nice to meet Jeronimo's mother, as she originally started this cooking school many years ago. The end product of the meal was fantastic. We gained cooking skills, became more knowledgeable about Mexican food culture, and had fun!

After purchasing the ingredients together at a local market, we went to a home and cooked sauces, made homemade dishes - Wonderful experience. Learned about how to use the fruits of Mexico for sauces and salsas. Cooked with great spices and made ceviche and hand made tortillas.

Arrive hungry! - We had an incredible time at the Cozumel cooking class! Our host Jeronimo made the experience both fun and informative, guiding us through the preparation of authentic Mexican dishes. All the food was fantastic, and the hands-on cooking was a highlight. We loved getting to choose our own protein (we picked shrimp), and a visit to the market allowed us to select a special treat to take home. There’s so much food served during the class, so make sure to come hungry! This was a memorable and delicious experience, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cozumel.

🌟 Cozumel Cooking Classes with Jeronimo – A Culinary Experience You Can't Miss! 🌟 - If you're looking for a truly immersive and educational experience in Cozumel, Cozumel Cooking Classes with Jeronimo is a must-do! Jeronimo was a wealth of knowledge, skillfully tying in the nutritional benefits of each dish while sharing the rich cultural history behind every ingredient and preparation. 🍴🌶 From the moment we began, we were fully engaged. The Veracruz fish (red snapper) was absolutely to die for – fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection! 🐟 The market tour was equally fascinating, with Jeronimo providing expert insights on spices, produce, and meats. It was captivating to learn about the local ingredients that make Cozumel's cuisine so unique. To top it all off, we were gifted online cookbooks featuring all the dishes we made (and many more), so I can recreate these amazing recipes back in the U.S. 📝 A huge thank you to Jeronimo and Emily for making this class a highlight of our trip. If you're in Cozumel, don’t miss out on this unforgettable culinary adventure! #CozumelCookingClass

Absolutely great! - One of the best excursions ever! After finding out what we wanted to eat, he led our small group through the market, choosing all the ingredients needed (with explanations and tips), then we traveled to his house and got to work. We did some of the prep work while Jeronimo cooked and explained what he was doing. Everything was delicious, and I feel confident I can recreate it myself. You really get a feel for authentic Mexico with this excursion- not just the generic tourist experience. The market is almost all locals, and it was fun being in a home rather than a boring commercial kitchen. We arrived by cruise ship and although I’m usually nervous making it back to the shop in time, Jaramillo made it clear he took it very seriously and payed close attention to the time. Had to take a cab on our own to the market (easy), he called us a cab to take us back. My husband wasn’t too excited about this when I booked it (he isn’t interested in cooking), but loved it also. Thanks for a wonderful day, Jeronimo!
