Highlights

After boarding your Jeep Wrangler or Jeep Patriot (maximum 4 guests per Jeep), take off on an exciting drive around town for insights into local life. The scenic route provides breathtaking views of tropical Cozumel, and throughout your drive you can keep in contact with your tour guide via a state-of-the-art radio system installed in every Jeep.

A long sandy road leads to the Punta Sur State Refuge ecological reserve. Here you’ll visit El Caracol, an ancient Mayan ruin once used as a weather alarm. Built between 1200 and 1400 A.D., El Caracol was used by the Mayans to indicate the approach of a hurricane or storm. At Columbia Lagoon, watch saltwater crocodiles basking in the sun in their natural environment. Then, explore the observation tower which overlooks the lagoon before heading over to the beach to enjoy the year-round crystal-clear waters.

The bay is protected from sea currents, and its calm, shallow waters make it the ideal place for snorkeling. You might see turtles, lobsters and tropical fish on your guided snorkeling tour. While you snorkel, your guide will always be nearby to help you out and answer any questions you may have. If you want to give snorkeling a miss, feel free to simply relax under the shade of your beach umbrella.

Jumping back into the Jeeps, you’ll head over to the Navigation Museum inside the Punta Celarain lighthouse, with the option to climb to the top. Then, drive over to a beach resort to enjoy a delicious Mexican lunch of fajitas, rice, beans, chips, real tortillas and Mexican salsa. Beach chairs, a freshwater swimming pool, showers and towels are included in the price.

True Organic Tequila - George was great and we saw more less touristy tequilas place. It was great value and very knowledgeable. Smaller group with personal attention and hotel drop off.

Awesome stop in Cozumel! - We loved our excursion! We figured it would be short little drive in the jeeps but we drove a lot and made neat little stops to see the city of Cozumel. The beach they took us to had really great snorkeling. We stopped in three ports and this was the best stop of all. George was an excellent guide. Book this when In Cozumel!

FUN JEEP AND SNORKEL TOUR - First off the staff was most memorable, and we all enjoyed the Jeep ride and drive. The beach was great and lunch was superb. Then to top it all off with the tequila tasting most memorable, well of what I can remember, haha not really. All great fun keep up the good work. Gracias.

Great private tour - We happened upon this tour company when we got off the boat. Nestor was our guide. He took us around the island and pointed out many interesting things. We stopped several times to take pictures and do some shopping. We skipped the tequila tasting. I can't remember the name of the beach we went to, but it was very nice. We snorkeled and saw lots of fish, shells, and coral. Ended back where we started with a small chicken fajita meal.

Mexican adventures - Great experience but the jeeps were laughable. No functional seat belts. None of meters on dash worked- no odometer, speedometer, rpm gauge or fuel gauge worked. Dash was falling off. And clutch quit working mid way. The tour guide was great and accommodating- Jorge. The locations explored breathtaking.

SCAM! Beware! - Liars! Liars! !!! We paid $300 USD for snorkeling Tour we have 3 kids who were looking foward to this and we were taken on a Tequila Tour!!! First we stopped at a beach were they gave us tilapia or nasty fajitas drinks not included! after 2 hours there they took us to el mirador (ugly rock beach) and than Tequila SO FAKE! The person who sold this to us was at playa del carmen before the ferry and their logo is BUGGY ADVENTURES but when you arrive to Conzumel their Logo is Cozumel Fun Excursions! Beware! The other people in our tour said they also paid for the snorkeling tour but were giving this tequila tour!

*BEWARE OF SCAM* - The absolute worst experience/paid excursion I have done. From the start we were scammed. We were overcharged for everything. We were promised two cars, but had to squeeze 6 in one Jeep(not including the driver). We were promised to go to visit ruins, but while on the tour our guide lied and said they were closed due to COVID which they weren’t. We were promised to go snorkeling in the “second best snorkeling in the world” but then we never even got to snorkel... Finally, we were told that we’d be going to a nice beach club with food included. We got to the location and it was the worst excuse for a beach club ever with dirty/rocky water that was no deeper than stomach level. The food was terrible and someone there tried to steal our stuff even when we were right there. All lies. Don’t believe any good reviews here, most likely fake. Do not waste your money or time... ridiculous

Booked/paid with Tripadvisor and NO TOUR - Booked and paid with credit card thru TripAdvisor. Got all the way to where we were supposed to be in Cozumel, took the ferry from Playa, only to find that the tour operator DID NOT have our booking so they wouldn't take us. Tripadvisor, YOU DID NOT follow up on this booking. I received a confirmation and everything but the operator (Cozumel Fun Excursions) had no record of our booking. Incredibly disappointed and wasted our money and time getting to Cozumel. I have tried to contact Tripadvisor and Viator about this with several emails and have had no response. Poor on so many levels.
