Perfect blend of history, local flavor and beautiful views! - We felt like we saw the entire island and at the comfort of our own pace with our own guide. Hugo was fantastic and able to offer local knowledge and historical insight! Manny at the tequila tasting was a character and made the experience! Food was fantastic and the views were even better!

Perfect well-rounded tour of Cozumel - We had a great time with Hugo as our private guide. He explained all the many things we could do along the trip and had a knowledge of the island and it's history which helped add a lot to the experience. We enjoyed stops at the flea market and a beach side taco spot in addition to the cenote and San Gervasio. The jeep had cold air and cold water readily available. Thanks again for a great experience!

Fabulous Tour ask for Miguel Pat - Pick up went smoothly It helps when you are driven around by a local who knows the locals Miguel was friendly and knowledgeable We started with a drop in at a local flea market not near the port. Then off to a black coral workshop and shop. This was perfect and stunning. I don’t drink tequila well not till today it was informative and delicious We went to a traditional mayan ruins it was a 1 hour self guided tour Off to lunch at the beach a Mexican Feast To wrap the day up we went to a cent one and it was a hidden beauty used by locals and off the beaten track Refreshing way to end a perfect day

Great Time - My sister and I had a great time with our tour guide, José Carlos, from Best Excursions. He stopped at so many places all around the island, gave us the history, took lots of pictures and was so proud of his Mayan ancestry. Loved the ruins and lunch. Not impressed with Cenote. Would definitely use José Carlos again.

Individualized Exploration, as a Couple - Kati, our guide was so accommodating and flexible. She definitely catered to our interests throughout, and knew so much about everything she showed us. She knew we would be renting a car on our own the following day, so she pointed out the tips on where to park and maneuver correctly in traffic. Visiting the ruins, following the walkways, it was easy to imagine living there so long ago. She showed us what was a restaurant that was destroyed by the hurricane, fascinating. Then to a restaurant that served us a nice lunch. It was like walking around with a friend.

Cultural half day tour Cozumel - We started our tour by stopping by at the replicas of the Mayan ruins that was in the main avenue of the island. We head out to the shop where we got souvenirs then we went to the jewelry shop where they make black coral jewelries. We get to meet the owner of the shop and he showed us the process of making those corals into fine jewelry. Although he warned us that there are a lot of fake ones out there which was kinda true coz all the stops we went sells "black coral" jewelries which I find a bit disturbing.Next, we went to the chocolate tasting. Those chocolates are so good that we ended up buying our favorite flavors. However they are so pricey. For a small chocolate bar, it's priced at $10 each. Next stop was the tequila tasting place. It was a nice experience. We get to understand how tequilas are made, tasted them and ended up buying a couple of bottles. Then we went to the real Mayan ruins that nestled in the heart of the island. You have the option to do it yourself or hire a guide for $35. I suggest you do it with a guide coz they can explain better since they know the history of those ruins. Part of the tour was fajitas lunch at Chulas beach club. This is not a good place. The fajitas are not good. The place is swarmed by the cruise ship tourists who are in a party mood.Drunk and rowdy. The music is too loud. Not a good place if you want to enjoy a peaceful lunch. We find their food to be overpriced and not delicious at all. I was hoping our guide brought us somewhere else. The last part of the tour was a supposed cenote site. It was not like the sink hole featured in the pictures. It was more like a swamp with a crocodile lurking in the mangroves. Kinda frustrating. Overall, the tour was not that bad. We somehow enjoyed it except for the lunch. Not worth the money if you may ask. I can't even recommend it. There might be something better than that.
