Amazing tour, worth the full day! - Our tour Guide was EDWIN, he was super understandable with our retrained time since we came from a cruise ship. He offered to skip the cave since the drive there was long, but we opted to do it anyway and miss out on the beach at the end, since we had a beach day the next day. Looking back, the cave was good but the beach was better, we should have spent more time at the beach. Our guide was amazing and had a lot of knowledge about the place and the locals. We loved the ATV. We had the option of doing it in pairs of alone. Bring clothes that you don't mind getting dirty !!!! Most of us did it in our bathing suit.

We had such a great time, by the time we got back to the ship, we were ready to go on another tour with him! The chocolate, tequila, tortillas and food were great! The ATV’s were a blast! Ready to do it again! Thanks again!

Amazing Tour around Cozumel - We were absolutely entertained, we enjoyed that we (6 adults) were in two jeeps, with the guide Antonio, who was way beyond sweet and kind, and informative, and we experienced the islands culture and nature, food and local drink. We were all very satisfied. Improvement should be a more specific meeting point. We came with cruise ship and had no idea, where Pick up where.

Great experience for visitors - Great experience even on a rainy day. Went with my friend and we had such a great time. Pedro took care of us and explained much of the history and culture. Everywhere we went they were friendly and knowledgeable. Would do again for sure!

Great guide, a little too much sales pitch - Our tour guide Tomy was amazing! Only complaint is we spent too much time doing the sales pitch for the tequila tasting. We would have rather been at the beach.

3-Star Fun Day! - This excursion started out a bit iffy for us. To start, we received a message that we would meet in “the front” of the hotel and our drivers would be named X and Y. We are Spanish speaking, but should have clarified what “in front” meant bc we waited over 20 mins in the lobby of our hotel until my husband finally messaged them and we learned that they actually wait for us in the street bc they are not allowed to drive up to our hotel entryway. Okay, our fault, no big deal. Our driver was neither X nor Y and was not wearing the polo shirt they told us to look for. Kinda sketch but he had sufficient knowledge of our appointment and he also had a copy of our invoice, so we went with him. He was actually really cool, very knowledgeable about the island. Took us to the first stop which would have been snorkeling but we opted out of it bc we snorkeled the day before. He drove us around the island, into El Cedral where the jade cavern cenote is. Please note: Despite the person who appears to be floating in the cenote in the picture for this excursion, nobody is actually swimming in this water. It’s cool to visit but there around a couple thousand bats in this cavern (they do not bother you) and there is no way that water is safe to swim in. But it’s a neat place to visit. After the cenote we drove to the Punta Sur Ecological Park and climbed up (143 steps!) to the top of the lighthouse. We saw crocodiles and a coati. The view from the lighthouse was incredible. There is an ancient Mayan lighthouse also in the entry to the park that is super cool. At this point we were really thirsty and hungry and expressed this aloud and the driver stopped at a store for us to buy some things. This was fine, we’re happy to support local merchants BUT I recalled reading that they would provide at least drinks during the ride. Our driver said nothing. We went to the ATV ride, which was fun and they let our kids ride them when we got to a flat space that was open for them to ride. It was after the ATV park that our driver informed us this whole time, probably close to three hours by now, that he in fact had an ice chest that contained drinks. Again, probably our fault for not asking, but there wasn’t a language barrier so he clearly heard us expressing being thirsty. I believe he took us to that particular store on purpose as part of a “honey hookup” bc also we passed a dozen stores on the way. Again, I don’t mind supporting the local merchants so, whatever. After ATVs we walked around the area and sampled Mayan tortillas and chocolate and did some tequila tasting. The driver then drove us back for our lunch. He did take us a long way to show us more of the island, which was appreciated. This island is very beautiful and has a rich history. We ate lunch at the restaurant that was interestingly directly next to our hotel. You only have a choice of tacos or fajitas as part of the tour and the food is paid for but the drinks are not. That’s okay with us, we’ll smash on some tacos. In fact we ended up eating lunch there another day bc it was pretty good. While you’re waiting for your table, some dude will show his trick parrot and will take your photos and then later try to sell these to you, just take caution about this. So takeaways: do we regret doing this? No, absolutely not. Would we do it again? Also no. Be prepared to get dirty! The ATVs are muddy! I would also recommend bringing cash and a change of either clothes or at least shoes. Tip well; everyone works hard.
