Don't Be Afraid to Try - I was very nervous about this, but it was a breeze to do. You step on a ladder on the pier to go down into the water. As you enter the water, they put the helmet on you and it is NOT heavy. It does NOT close around your neck but instead, has air pumped in through a hose. This air is for your breathing and at the same time, forces the water to stay below the helmet. You breathe naturally and the staff reviews hand signals in advance so you can communicate with them. (Several are in the water with you and one was above, floating and watching us while also observing the air hoses.) When the last person was down the ladder, they confirmed that our ear pressure was fine and that we were ready to go for a little walk. There were oodles of fish right in front of us, but not a large variety. They guided us throughout the walk, took our pictures, pulled out a plastic shark from under a rock for a little humor and made it fun. The time flew by and it was time to go up the ladder and share our very positive experience.

Solo experience was awesome! - This activity was a great experience for me, as I cannot swim. My instructor Jose and his work partner were both very helpful from start to finish. I definitely recommend!

Unique and a must if you've never been fully underwater - Imanol gave us an amazing trek and very clear instructions to keep us safe, he was also very accommodating: he was supposed to start at 10 AM but we had an activity at 10:20 AM so he started 30 minutes early and gave us the trek at 9:30. The pictures and videos he took of us are great too, this activity was pure joy and a must if you've never been fully underwater.

Neat experience, but wouldn't recommend for chubby people - It was a cool experience to do once! I was the only one diving in my time slot so it was basically private, and my guide was awesome enough to take pictures on my camera for me! There's not a ton to see in terms of a reef, but you can see the dolphins in the area next door and there are some neat fish. However, I can't recommend it for larger people, or those that just have large heads. I wasn't able to fit my hand through the front of the helmet due to my head and chin size, making it difficult to equalize ear pressure as I was instructed. I have to give it 3 stars because the listing does not mention anything about head sizes and discomfort. Also, while the helmet is very heavy, if you're fat it's still kind of difficult to stay flat and balanced while walking on the ocean floor because you have a tendency to float up more easily. So if you're big like me, I'd recommend snuba instead!

Dont' book this Sea Trek - This wasn't what was offered. We were in the water for ten minutes when we were promised 30 minutes at least. Entry was uneven on a rock base, nothing was set up in terms of any rails or ropes to follow. Nothing to guide you and nothing to look at. We have been to Xel-Ha as well Aruba both were great experiences. This was unsafe with nothing to see, nothing to guide you and there was nothing to attract the fish. It was the worse ever. They kept us sitting there indicating people were ahead of us when there was no one and no equipment was put out on the dock until just before 12 noon. Part of our group was booked for 10 am and the other noon and we asked if they could take us all at 10 and they told us no indicating there were groups ahead of us. We were the only group of the day. We were sitting right across at the beach and there were no groups ahead of us or behind us. It was a joke. Misrepresentation.

Don't book - When compared with other Sea Trek excursions we've taken in Xel-ha and Aruba this was downright dangerous with nothing to see. No ropes to follow, no railing, no fish and certainly not worth it at all. For myself the bottom was really rocky at the bottom of the entry and around it and I wasn't able to get a good footing. As well the helmet kept wanting to lift and clearly was not a good fit. The air hoses were twisted and I just decided I had to get out. The remainder of the group saw nothing and felt the same way. We were promised 30 minutes in the water and all the group got was 10 min. Advertising misleading, The guide told us that the other sea trek in Cozumel had ropes during the presentation, however we decided we wanted something further from the port as we would be basically in a shipyard which is utterly ridiculous. Not impressed at all. Go out to Punta Sur or Buccanos to see fish.

Very underwhelming - There wasn’t much to see. Very underwhelming. Saw a few fish and they showed us dolphins that were on the other side of some netting, so you could barely see them. It was a neat experience but could’ve been much better had there been more fish or more to see.
