A Culinary Adventure Begins

As someone who thrives on the thrill of the ocean and the laid-back island lifestyle, I was eager to dive into a new kind of adventure: a culinary journey through authentic Mexican cuisine. The Cozumel Cooking Class promised an experience that would take me beyond the waves and into the heart of Mexican culture. With my partner by my side, we set off to meet Chef Jeronimo and his assistant Angelina at a charming local marketplace in San Miguel de Cozumel.

The marketplace was a vibrant tapestry of colors and aromas, each stall offering a glimpse into the rich culinary heritage of the region. Jeronimo, with his infectious enthusiasm and deep knowledge of local ingredients, guided us through the bustling aisles. He shared stories of tradition and nutrition, painting a vivid picture of how these elements come together to create the soul of Mexican cooking. We decided on chicken mole as our main course, a dish renowned for its complexity and depth of flavor.
