Book this. It’s fun! - Amazing experience. It’s a must do activity! The tequila was very good and I don’t even really like tequila. I learned so much about the culture, tequila and mezcals.

The real deal - I hate tequila. I mean, since I'm from the U.S., I've only had bad tequila. So, 2 years ago, when we first stopped here, I was dubious. However, I discovered the difference between good and bad. Blue Agave is the difference. Most tequila is made with "100% agave," meaning white agave and sugar. This stuff is smooth and delicious. So, we keep coming back. Don't fall for the hype from other companies. This is legit.

The restaurant is excellent! The tequilla tasting was fun, don't get stupid in the fun and buy too much. - Our cab driver recommended Casa Mission for an afternoon meal. We had rented his cab for the day and the day had went VERY well. We were having a good time and decided to try this place to eat. It was an excellent meal at Casa Mission with Coconut shrimp big as coasters! Delicious! Then our driver talked us into going for the tequilla tasting next door. We aren't huge into tequilla, but my wife and I had such a fantastic day that we decided to give it a shot. Now they laid out about seven small shots of different tequillas for both of us. Some were aged, some were flavored and my wife was enamored with the chocolate flavored tequilla. $70 for a bottle of chocolate tequilla seemed steep to me, but, I was half lit from the shots and our meal before and I'd get my wife about anything she wanted feeling like I did and hell, $70 isn't going to break us. It had been a great day so far. We bought one bottle, they tried to get me to buy a $170 bottle and fortunately I just took cash with us that day, no plastic (gets you into some real messes in foreign countries). I told the very nice friendly guy that if I was to pay the cabbie what I owed him, I couldn't buy the expensive bottle. He tried to wheel and deal a little, but we planned on hitting the pier shops on the way back to the cruise ship. So...when I got home, I found a $25 bottle of chocolate tequilla locally. We'll give it a shot and compare. It was $45 more for theirs, which I knew was good tasting and yes we have opened that bottle and it tasted the same as what we tried in the shop. A fun experience, I didn't overdo it by buying the expensive stuff which is actually about $80 locally (versus their $170) and we had fun. It WAS shocking to see the difference in costs locally versus what we paid for the one bottle, but notch it up to experience and a $45 lesson. I'd recommend the place, BUT don't get stupid and overbuy. Enjoy what you get and surely are overpaying for by 100 to 200%. Also remember, the people that bring you there are also surely getting a cut. It was just part of a great day. I wish our driver who seemed to be our friend would have been more forthcoming about this taste testing.....His tip would have been larger than what he got for having my back. The picture was what we got (Del Baril) which wasn't even TresTonos but had a good taste. $25 and a trip to the liquor store was what the other bottle of chocolate tequilla cost us.

Fun but it's a sales pitch - Had a good time. It's more of sales pitch than a tour. You do learn about tequila. You're given samples. When I told them that the first sample burned they brought out all the flavored tequilas. So we bought a bottle of chocolate tequila and some shot glasses. Out back was a taco cart where a man made free tacos for us to eat.

Good tequila, not worth the price or detour - Our tour driver took us here to try some of the local tequila. We were not there long (spent much of our time elsewhere on our trip around the island), but we did a vertical tasting of their Reposado, Anejo, Extra Anejo, and their French Oak Extra Anejo (branded as Mis Aguacates), plus a couple of the flavored expressions. (They were out of Blanco.) Overall, we thought the tequila was quite good, and we're used to drinking lots of good tequilas. However, when we were told the bottle prices, I almost fell out of my chair. If memory serves, the Reposado was $159, the Anejo $179, Extra Anejo $199, and the French Oak at $219. They were not particularly willing to negotiate, so we tipped for the tasting and left empty handed (but not regrettably so). After our trip, a cursory search shows the French Oak available in the US for ~$100 (i.e., over 50% less). The Casa Mision expressions aren't available, but frankly, there are so many good, small production tequilas available, I won't lose sleep over it. Overall, suggest skipping this stop on your Cozumel loop.

Scammm! Dont buy tequila..its online cheap - Scam!! Just visited cozumel and rented a buggie tour of the island with a guide recommend by my resort… shame on them for recommending them. They charge double the price and the tequila is sold only for 60.00 and in some stores. .. don't waste your money!!! And some of these 5* reviews are FAKE

False advertising. Don't purchase any of the liquor. - If you want to come back to home and feel like a Clown, go here. Scam!! The small sample of diffrent tequilas is ok for 10 dollars, but this lady said you could only get this tequila on the island. Blah blah blah. Don't purchase anything from these people. There most expensive bottle thats $170 usd, cost $80 here at the liquor store. Shame on this company. That's bad business, and they dont care because they'll continue to do it. I'm going to every review site to let everyone that is reading to not purchase anything here. 😡
