Top notch driving, guidance, and explanations—gorgeous sites - Alexander was an amazing, eloquent, impassioned guide with a great command of English. He took us to extra stops as well and seemed sincerely happy to spend a day in the desert with us.

Amazing Tour + Sensational Guide - The petroglyphs themselves are cool and the Rainbow Valley is beautiful, but the experience was more than special with Guide Ernestito, always smiling, full of information to share. It starts at the time when he joins the group and asks everyone to present themselves, this is already a differential. His knowledge is huge and treats us in ways that make us feel at home. Note 10!

Excellent experience rainbow valley tour - The experience was excellent and that was thanks to Ernesto Guide, charismatic, friendly, very good his energy, didactic to tell the history and geography of the area. Excellent breakfast. The places are beautiful, but the Guide is the one who takes the applause by taking us on this adventure.

Best tour in San Pedro de Atacama! - I can 100% recommend this tour! The Tour guide Ernesto is the nicest and puts in a lot of work to ensure it is a great excursion for everyone. He is very knowledegable about the tour‘s spots and gets everything across in a very entertaining and funny way. All this made this tour my absolute highlight in San Pedro de Atacama! P.s.: The tour also features the best breakfast with e.g. freshly made scrambled eggs, guacamole and brownies which is beyond every other tour breakfast

5 Stars - Our guide was very personable, knowledgeable, and able to communicate in multiple languages. This is one of the less popular attractions in San Pedro, but it's well-worth your time and money. Spectacular colors in the rocks and incredible history with the petroglyphs, along with great wildlife sightings on the road. Highly recommended.

Amazing scenery, great guide and delicious breakfast! - This tour called for an early start and although we were sleepy, Ernesto's energy and delicious breakfast got everyone excited. We were the only couple who have English as a first language and we were pleasantly surprised as to how much Spanish we understood, although Ernesto made sure to translate any aspects we did not understand. On the way to our first stop we pulled up roadside to enjoy the llamas crossing (all very road safety aware). We were told we would be climbing an elevation of 1,000m which you could definitely feel, although the menthol plant Rica Rica really did help to ease the feeling of sickness. We found this at our primary stop, Yerbas Buenas. The various petroglyphs of llamas, dogs, pumas, monkeys, flamingos and humans were fascinating. We even tried cactus for the first time- I’m not sure how to describe the taste other than a sour kiwi. However, the real star of the show was the Rainbow Valley itself. A particular highlight for us was the dried waterfall, where we all climbed up to admire the 20m or so column. Today was also probably the most interesting geology lesson I've ever had. Ernesto went into great detail about the different minerals in the various rocks and gave each of us examples to study. Walking around the scenery, it felt like something from a movie because of the contrast of colours. It was easy to see why it has this name as we stood and admired the red, white and green formations. All this excitement and exercise made us quite hungry and Ernesto recommended a great restaurant called 'Jardin Meraki' which we visited as soon as we were dropped off in the centre of town. A very enjoyable day overall! Amy and Jack

Excellent Rainbow Valley Tour - Ernesto led our tour and we didnt know what to expect but it was an amazing trip! An insane breakfast with a view followed by an informative english speaking tour. He answered all of our questions (even some stupid ones), and the way he chatted with us all and made everyone in the group comfortable was great. Would definitely recommend this tour- a highlight for us were the petroglyphs, you cant miss this!

LACK OF RESPECT WITH TOURIST - NO RESPECT FOR THE CUSTOMER, the tour DOES NOT INFORM ANYWHERE when its detail or description is given that there is a height of 3,500 meters above sea level approx. As it is not reported, having already confirmed and PAID the reservation for two people, I went to Whipala at 6:00 p.m. the day before the tour just to coordinate the pick-up at my hotel, since it was not considered one of the fixed places. And at that moment, the person who assisted me pointed out information about my height, because I told him that my partner was having some difficulties with his blood pressure. Then I explained to him that climbing 1,000 more meters was dangerous, so he had to cancel the tour. He told me that it was not possible, that it was 24 hours before, and he understood because that information was visible when contracting, but NOT THE HEIGHT ABOVE SEA LEVEL, to which he told me that "if something happens we will lower everything." the group", to which I insisted that due to the lack of relevant information, I was asking for at least a partial refund, or to leave that amount for another occasion and another lower-level tour. Miss V. Cortés (that's what she told me her name was when I asked her) told me that it couldn't be done, that if I was from the area (I live in Antofagasta and I let her know) that how could I not know about the height? . In short, ZERO RESPECT FOR THE HEALTH AND INTEGRITY OF THE TOURIST, NO RELEVANT INFORMATION and I WAS FORCED BY THE TOUR OPERATOR TO PAY ALMOST 80,000 FOR BEING ANGER. Needless to say, since it was about online hiring, WHIPALA indicated that they had no relationship with this, and they completely washed their hands of it.
