Geyser del Tatio - Next, explore the trails of this remarkable geothermal field. The Tatio Geysers form the largest geyser group in the southern hemisphere and the third-largest globally. At dawn, you can marvel at the stunning display created by powerful steam jets that shoot up to 10 meters high, reaching extreme temperatures. The Tatio spring waters are natural thermal pools rich in minerals! After visiting, you’ll journey along the majestic Andes Mountain Range, enjoying the adventure of spotting native plants and animals in their natural environment. Breakfast will be served as the sun rises during this tour.
The entrance fee to Tatio Geysers is included only in the Semi-Private tour. - Machuca - On your return, there will be several stops for photos and to observe the Altiplano flora and fauna. You’ll also see the village of Machuca, a small Atacama settlement over 4,000 meters above sea level. Here, villagers live isolated from modern civilization, primarily herding llamas and producing cheese.
- Vado del Rio Putana - You’ll also get to see the Rio Putana wetlands, a small valley teeming with native vegetation and wildlife. At the end of the trip, you’ll be driven back to San Pedro de Atacama.
