San Pedro de Atacama - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, and transported to the Bolivian border at Hito Cajones.

Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve of Andean Fauna - Upon crossing the border into Bolivia, travelers can admire the stunning scenery dominated by the Licancabur volcano. At its base lies one of the treasures of the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve: the Green and White Lagoon, which marks the starting point of the journey in a 4X4. This unique location is unparalleled worldwide. Leaving the Green Lagoon, the adventure continues into the expansive Valley of the Ladies desert. The journey proceeds to the Polques hot springs for a refreshing bath before heading to the Geysers of Sol de Mañana to witness volcanic activity.

Laguna Colorada - The next stop is the Red Lagoon, another gem of the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve. This lagoon is renowned for hosting three distinct species of flamingos. The lagoon’s red hue is caused by active algae interacting with sunlight and wind. The flamingos’ pink feet and feathers are also a result of these algae, which form their primary diet.

The stunning Uyuni Salt Flats are the largest salt flat in the world. Situated in the Department of Potosi in Southwest Bolivia, they are located at an elevation of 3,650 meters above sea level.

Approximately 40,000 years ago, this region was part of Lake Minchin, a vast prehistoric lake. As the lake evaporated, it left behind two contemporary lakes, Poopó and Uru Uru, along with two significant salt deserts: Salar de Coipasa and the larger Salar de Uyuni. The Uyuni Salt Flats are about 25 times larger than the Bonneville Salt Flats in the United States!

La Isla del Pescado (Fish Island), found on the salt flat, is covered with giant cacti and is named for its fish-like shape. It stands as the only sign of life for miles around.
