- Valle De La Luna - Driving through the national reserve we’ll stop and walk to see the arid scenery, sand dunes, giants rocks formations of crystallized salt and sedimentary layers on the walls. A quick stop on the place that gives the name of Moon Valley in the national reserve, with the huge natural formation called The Amphitheater, The Big Dune, and the Andes mountain range on the background. Keeping moving, we’ll go to the end of the reserve to see a natural sculpture, “The Three Maries”.
-
On the way back we’ll park the car and do a light hiking, about 10 to 15 minutes to reach the Big Dune lookout to see the entire Moon Valley.
From here walking back to the car and driving to an other look out, but this time over the big basin of the Atacama salt flat with a 100 km open view, from here we’ll go back to San Pedro de Atacama.

The water and wind had uncovering spectacular landscapes, that I really love, when you come to Atacama and see it by your self, you’ll know…

The water and wind had uncovering spectacular landscapes, that I really love, when you come to Atacama and see it by your self, you’ll know why.
